Does not work on Macintosh Leopard (OS 10.5.1)

My Microtek ScanMaker 4900 no longer works after a system upgrade to Leopard (Mac OS 10.5.1).  Is a new driver available or is a workaround possible?

I also have  Microtek ScanMaker 4900 and want to use it with Leopard. It is also not supported by VueScan or Image Capture. No word yet from Microtek when or if they will provide a Leopard drive. It took them a while to supply an OS X driver when I first bought the scanner.

DMy hitherto beautifully functioning ScanMaker does not work on my new Macintosh Leopard (OS 10.5.1). I downloaded the driver fro OS 10.4.x but of course that didn't work.  Microtek has not answered my e-mail inquiry about a driver.  I need a solution!

I have exactly the same problem.  I keep a copy of OS 10.4 on another hard drive and boot into that when I need to scan.  Very inconvenient.  I would never buy Microtek again.

And me too. I found a driver on the net that claimed to be for Mac Os X but couldn't open the downloaded file, it told me that "the classic environment is no longer supported".
So, err, has some friendly geek been on to this? :|

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Windows 7 won't read the microtek scanmaker 4900

In case you haven't noticed, there aren't any drivers for your scanner for Windows7 from Microtek. So you have to wait till Microtek anounce new drivers, or try the WinXP version with your own risk.

In case of a problem, don't hesitate to post.

Thanks and regards

Need ScanMaker i320 driver

Microteck unfortunately have poor support for OS X, so you may have to get a new scanner.  Epson are equally bad for OS X so avoid them too.
