1998 toyota avalon radio not working

when the current to the radio is interfered with the radio setting assumes that it is being stolen (anti-theft program) and switches off. You will need the security code for the radio and will have to entre it into the radio before it will work again. There are sites on the net that have a range of codes for wirelesses unless it is in the vehicle hand book from the dealer when new. If you are the original owner then the code should be available from the dealer that you bought it from.

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

I need the code for the original stereo honda 1995

I bought a 95 accord lx with the same radio and it was so hard to get the code. Finally, I just got myself another raido with usb and SD card capacity and this is a lot better than the old radio. I took the connector from the old radio (two hours work) and use the connector to connect my new radio to the speakers.

The Peugeot Dealer can get the code from the Factory. All they need is the Vehicle ID number and the Serial number to the radio. Call Peugeot directly, if it's a "New" car, they"Will" take care of you! Hope this helps.

My radio in my car wont work but it lights up and flashes wait, the people i bought the car from said i have to use a code or something like that its a 91 mercedes 300 e

the radio code is located one of two places
1.) in the original paper work
2.) internal to the radio

the only way to retrive the internal code is with a professional scanner

If you talk nicely to the dealer and tell them how much you like the factory radio and would HATE to replace it with an aftermarket radio, they may pull the code for free

Problems with the radio

If the original radio was replaced, code on manual wont match. Most replacement brands have better sound quality than OEM radios. CDs for cars are on their way out (bulk and number of songs at hand) Buy a reputable brand that can accept IPODs or pendrives. All you need to know is if your present radio is DIN or Double DIN , in order to know what size to buy.

Need unlock code

It is possible the radio was "password" protected by the dealer who originally programmed the radio. If this is the case, you will need to find the original dealer who sold the radio to find out the password. OR you will need to send the radio to the Motorola factory repair depot to have them clear the memory of the radio. (It is not something the local Motorola dealer can do.) You can contact Motorola at 800-227-6772 for more info.
