Nikon d5100 Blurry photos When I take photos of a party, at night, my photos are very blurry. How can I fix..

Use autofocus if you have a AF lens on it.

Usually you get a kit 18-55 AF lens that has a A/M switch on the side. The switch should be facing the A side so it's set on autofocus. Then you have 9 points on your viewfinder, those are the autofocus points. It should usually be set to center, because you usually want the object in center of your photo to not be blurry.
Remember to press the shutter button halfway and give some time for the autofocus to focus. Then you can press it all the way, you should have your photos nice and clear.

If you happen to have a manual focus lens, you should be watching through the viewfinder and turning the focus ring on the lens and determine if your object is in focus. It's hard at night, but get some practice at home when you have some more light so you get more familiar with the focus.

How I do fix blurry nite pictures

set the Asa as high as possible, use a tripod or mono pod and don't shoot when people are running. You basically just don't have enough light and your lenses are way too slow. That's why you see those huge lenses on pro photogs cameras at football games - they gather much more light and allow them to shoot at higher shutter speeds that freeze the action. It also depends upon how much light is on the field - they use a lot of light for pro sprorts

While trying to take pictures of my son's Friday night football games, the pictures come out super dark when I use the flash. If I turn the flash off, the pictures are light, but all blurry. How can I fix...

The flash is only good up to 10 feet....are you that close? If not, turn off the flash and turn up the ISO to make the camera more sensitive to the lower light levels.

Trying to take photos of football game at night. pictures either blurry or too dark. Any fixes?

Are you using a point and shoot camera? If so, unless you get very close, you're not going to get good results. You could try raising the ISO setting and do not use flash. Use a monopod or some sturdy way to hold your camera steady. The best camera for the type of shots you want is a DSLR.

Watching a football game picture is very unclear

The noise reduction option will cause a blur on fast movement. Also, you probably already know this, but a standard definition broadcast will look very blurry on an HD TV, so make sure the channel you're watching is actually an HD channel.

Oh, wow, I just noticed that this is from October. Oh well, maybe you're still having problems.

Taking night photos with the A350

I suggest you find a tripod and use "No Flash" as the reason the pictures are blurry is usually the camera moved. I love the no flash option, but since the shutter stays open so much longer, a tripod is almost a necessity.

low light means the shutter stays open longer to capture the image.   Try changing exposure settings.
