Question about GE Refrigerators
First , remove the top freezer door hinge cover , and disconnect the plug there . This removes power to the door . 1 ) Use a small screwdriver on the bottom of the dispensor board , and twist to unsnap the bottom of the board . 2 ) Remove the 3 plugs from the board . 3 ) remove the 4 screws , holding the dispensor cover on , and slide cover out . 4 ) At the top right , you will see a black solenoid with a plunger ( usually rust ) . This is the part that needs replaced . Pt # WR62X10055 . This part comes with the plunger . Do not try to just clean , as this problem will happen again if not replaced . Re-assemble in reverse .
