How can I download pictures from my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 onto my MAC?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Picture transfer through PC cable won't work, usb not recognized

Try another computer. Win XP doesn't require the SD card to be formatted. Win 7 does.
Transfer the pics to a directory, and format the SD card in the Lumix camera. Refer to the manual for directions on how to do this.

How can I download video from Lumix TZ7 to my Mac

Just connect the cable ...and if you see the icon on the desktop it means that it do not need a driver ....I use a Lumix on windows..and it do not need driver cause it sees the card inside like a removable storage device....Inside that icon you will find the pictures...
If after you connect it ..it asks for a communication driver ..than take a look on the disk that came with it and see if you hace a driver for Mac...If there is non..than go on the support site and see if there is any available....Or another way is just to get the card from inside and use a card reader and get the pictures directly ...like from a memory stick ..or like any other media on a card ..

HI! Where can i find software for the Lumix DMC-LS70 to download photos to a Mac? Thanks.........

Hi. The Panasonic software does not work on Mac.

Here is Panasonic full list of AV software.

Your camera will be automatically detected by the Mac, only instead of using Panasonic Simple Viewer Software (part of Pana Photo Suite), the Mac will ask you if you want to view pictures.

You will also find the camera detected on the Mac as an external disk,

below a simple guide for your camera.

How can I see JPEG format pictures on my computer by connecting my camera via a USB connection cable?

Downloading pics from camera to mac

We had trouble uploading to our mac, especially with videos.  A camera store guy suggested using a card reader instead of uploading through the camera -- it's much faster.  Hope this helps.
