Question about Maytag MMV4205 Microwave Oven
This microwave is only 3 years old, but has only been used for 2 years. All of a sudden it stopped working yesterday. It appears that there is no power, but I've checked the circuit breaker and unplugged and replugged it in. I don't have the manual and am wondering if there is a reset button. Any advice would be appreciated.
No, your fuse has blown due to an electrical problem. Ill get right to it. Very possibly the capacitor and HV diode need replacement.90% of the time this occurs. If by chance it still doesn't heat or still blows fuses, replace the magnetron. Before you do all this, look carefully at the transformer and look for any indication of burning, or flashing having taken place. If so, replace the transformer first.(Transformer doesnt often go faulty).
