Question about Zoom X6 (5590) DSL Modem (55900003)

Red light Hi, Ive got the zoomx6 but the red Internet light stays on all the time so I cant connect to the internet. I have contacted talktalk who have give me a new password, but i cant connect to the zoom home to change my settings? Any ideas please??   Many thanks in advance. Elaine

Check that you have all the correct drivers installed, ie....for your ethernet. Look at the back of your pc at the yellow cable, if the light inside the connection isnt flashing, then your pc isnt recognizing your router and it most likely is a driver issue. Open the management console then device manager look for network adapters/controllers if you dont see any you dont have any and this is your problem. Install the correct drivers from your manufacturers web site and this should resolve the issue.

The internet is down the dsl light on the modem is blinking red


I experienced the same problem yesterday with my modem,the internet is down as a result of the fact that the computer doesn't recognize the remote modem,hence the dsl light blinks red,when the internet is up the dsl lights should blink green,the problem is mostly from your internet provider,few times from your computer.

The solution is so simple;

1.Remove the modem from your computer.
2.Shut down your computer.
3.Turn on your computer again after at least 3mins.
4.Insert the modem in your computer and connect to the internet.
5.It might take up to a few attempts before it gets connected to the internet.

Problem solved.

I have had problems connecting to internet all weekend (internet - red light), am on now but internet and ethernet green light keep blinking, is this ok.

No because dsl light should be solid green light. You need to contact your ISP to check if there is a problem on the network.

Only internet light is blinking

According to the user guide, the modem is trying to connect to the isp. If it is continually blinking, check all your cables. Once you are satisfied all cables are properly connect contact the isp to find out if there is an outage in your area and if not they can help you.

My at&t modem has a red light on "internet" with all other lights green. What needs to be done to make thecred to green?

The reason why your internet light is red for the at&t modem is because it is not yet configure. You need to access the gui of this router. enter the username and password for your internet connection. You can contact your ISP provider so they can walk you through for the steps on how to configure your new modem.

Hi,my zxdsl 831 recently the 'DSL' LED keeps on offing by itself from time to time,whereelse my 'PWR' and 'LAN' Led still works normally(resulting unable to connect)...ive read the book manual but isnt...

if the LED goes off and on but your internet access is fine then the LED is buring out. (very rare)
BUT if your internet comes and goes with the led light then you need to contact your dsl provider and find out why.
FIRST you should check your phone line cable to make sure it doesnt have a break or loose connection somewhere.

Internet light turned red and won't change back to green


If the Internet is red, this may be because of problem with authentication. Please pull the configuration page of modem and check whether the username/password are correct.

Zoom X6 internet light constantly red

the internet light, is usually a blinking green, showing that it's seeing the internet signal. The only reason it's red, is cause there's no net signal..double check the phone line going into the back of your router, and change it if you need to.
