For a couple of days now, my Frigidaire RL6003B small fridge ,the compressor keeps running all day and night and does not switch off. I have felt the compressor and it very hot. The fridge seems to be still getting cold. Can you help me diagnose what the problem is.

It is possable that a thermostat or sensor is faulty or perhaps the compressor is low on gas you will probably have to call service engineer

Why would a brand new fridge make strange noises already?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FFSS2614QS, is making a strange humming noise. Your new, high-efficiency refrigerator may introduce unfamiliar sounds. These sounds normally indicate your refrigerator is operating correctly. Some surfaces on floors, walls, and kitchen cabinets may make these sounds more noticeable. This could possibly be the compressor that you are hearing. Modern, high-efficiency compressors run much faster than in the past. The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

FRIGIDAIRE FRS20ZRG STOPPED WORKING AFTER MOVING IT, LIGHTS STOPPED THE NEXT DAY

It may have been defrosting on a timed cycle when the compressor stopped. If any water was present at the time, it may have seeped into the electrics. Check the fuse and you have power to the on/off switch and thermostat.. If fuse blown, check all is dried out before plugging back in.

Kelvinator fridge freezer keeps triping the earth leakage switch. Is this problem coming from the compressor? Will work fine for long periods of the day/night

Hi
It is very possible that it is the compressor, but these types of problems are very hard to track down...but I agree... it sounds like it could be a problem with the compressor.

Fridge keeps tripping electricity

I assume by "earth leakage" you mean it is on a GFI circuit? Some older GFI outlets are sensitive to and do not work well with motors or other inductive loads like your refridgerator compressor. As for the compressor feeling hot, this is usually normal.

If this is a GFI outlet, try replacing it with new unit. If it is a GFI breaker, try replacing that.

Frigidaire Freezer Runs Warm in Cold Weather

hi there the problem you have is that the temp in the garage is to low, the fridge part of your fridge freezer has priority and will only activate the compressor when req'd ie. in cold weather the fridge may not need to switch on the compressor for days at a time this is when the freezer will defrost.
All you can try doing is having some very low heating in your garage in the cold weather

hope this is of help.
