Hi,

Please follow the simple steps i am going to outline;

1. Dissemble the cell phone taking out the battery and cover.

2. Get a mini brush dabbed int spirit and clean the panel using the brush. Place them in an airy environment, most preferably out in the sun. Allow it outdoor for say 12 hrs or more.

Fix it back and i assure you that you'll have your cell power back on.

Regards

The only thing you can do with this phone is leave it to dry over a couple of days. It will not work because the moisture has shorted out the internal circuitry. Do not force it to dry out with anything like a hairdryer as this can often cause more harm to the circuitry.

There's no special magic you can do at this stage to help make it work - it simply needs to dry out and sometimes if you are lucky the phone will work again once this has happened.

I would advise you to remove the battery and then leave the phone in a dry place in your house where air can easily circulate. If you are able to remove any part of the casing this will speed up the process. Do not attempt to dry the circuit board with anything - let it dry itself.

Then wait for 5 days or so and hope for the best!

I have a ipod touch 4th 8 gb. It fell in water but was put in rice, screen cracked tho. It all works except when i use the usb port it doesnt make that one sound, show that it is charging, or it wont...

It could be dirty connections. 1) Turn off the device.

2) Take a charge cable and dip it in rubbing alcohol.

3)You then want to take the damp cable and plug it in and out of the device. Do this a few times, and then make sure it is dry before you plug it into any power source.

My phone accidently fell in water now it wont restart completely ... what do i do?

Dont switch on the phone or charge it unless the water gets fully drained.
Unscrew your mobile and take the ic chip and blow some hot air using hair dryer for some time unless the water gets drained.
After the water is completely drained replace and screw the mobile and switch on..
If problem still persists you should replace your ic chip..
There is no other go..

It wont turn on, it wont charge, Power Supply? how to fix it?

It's broke. Would probably cost more to fix it then to buy a new one.
If you are so inclined though, you can try opening up and see if you can find something loose.

It fell in water and wont turn on or charge

Hi,

As you will appreciate - water and electronics do not mix. The soaking in the water will have caused a short to occur somewhere on the circuit board or other components.

One key to saving soaked electronics is speed and the ability to rapidly remove the battery to prevent power being supplied to the short. The battery in this unit is pre-installed and is not removable so unfortunately it is highly likely that the unit will be beyond repair I am afraid.

However, sometimes you can be lucky. If the unit was not too badly immersed in water, there is a possibility it will work again if it is left to dry out in a warm area of the room.

Do not use hairdryers or heat of any form as this will make the problem worse not better. Using warm sunlight in a window or left in the vicinity of a radiator (but not on the radiator) - gentle warmth is the best approach.

You should wait 2 or 3 days with it drying out in this manner before you try powering up or charging it again. If a fatal short has not occurred this approach can sometimes work but unfortunately there is no guarantee.

Hope this information helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

disassemble it as much as you can. leave it in a dry warm environment for about a week to dry out. put it back together in about a week. charge up the battery and power it up. cross your fingers it may work.

p.s. was it on when it fell in the water ?

Hp nc8000 power issue

Many of the power jacks also contain switch contacts that allow the adapter to power both the laptop and the "charging" system. I would suspect that one of the leads had either been broken or at least detached from the pc board. This laptop needs to be dis-assembled and the power jack repaired. Worse case will result in the replacement of the jack or the repair of the board if that part has been cracked.
