Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook
Go to device Manager and check for the w/ driver. Reinstall it from hp.com(if any other internet conenction is possible), or Installed it from recovery partition. Do a Bios Update and then restart. It should Work. Incase it does not, Reseat the w/l card of the notebook and then try.
Finally, replace the w/l card as its is suppose to be faulty

If the light doesn't come on, then there is no driver present that the system recognizes. Go here and download the drivers. Look on the bottom of your laptop and write down the exact model and click on the appropriate model on the link, this will make sure you have the right device file.
