Not very helpful info! I would try tapping f12 on booting up which takes you into the Dell Diagnostics mode. Then come back here.

Getting detecting array message

And what else? If the system just hangs at detecting it's expecting to find an array of hard drives attached to the system. Do you have an array that it can boot to? Does it load the OS finally? Was it working before? Did you make changes to the bios ro the array controller bios?

Getting detecting array after opening workstation to dust. Did I move something? Anyone have a picture of inside and what goes into what.? When I turn off power source it says warning, now system is in...

I'm guessing you asked amore generic question earlier. If you were dusting you've probably inadvertently unplugged one or more hard drives. Make sure all the cables are seated properly and try again. You can turn off the error message by entering the bios and resetting the error message or tuning it off all together.

MediaShield ROM BIOS 6.33 detecting array on the screen of an emachine pc

You need to be more clear than that. You say detecting an array? What kind of array? When does it say that? Do you mean you have an array of hard drives installed? If so, then so what?

I have tried to install RAM up to the 4GB maximum and now the boot up screen locks complaining that 'detecting array, no disk reserved for RAID use, RAID disabled'. Any ideas?

This RAID message has nothing to do with RAM, RAID is Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks.
Maybe you knocked a connector when you installed the ram? This seems most likely to me, check all the hard drive connectors both at the drive and at the board.
Finally if you are not using RAID then disable it in the BIOS and it should boot without complaining, but I suspect you are using it and thats why its not booting, sounds like its set to use raid disks which it cant find because a connector is not in place, but thats just a guess based on what you're put above!

Gateway GM4019E intermittent power up problem. At power up it seems to click a couple of times during ''Detecting Array'' then powers itself off never booting the OS. When I remove the sidecover it seems...

it could be a hard drive controller.

Or it could be a raid problem if that's what its looking for go into your bios and see if it finds your hard drives if not then it could be exactly that,

SCSI Devices not detected when posting ML530 Server.....

To get to the BIOS for your server, press F10 at start-up. This should get you there to verify if settings are detecting SCSI devices. If they are there, you may have to reinstall the SCSI controller drivers. Good Luck.

Detecting array...

does any other monitor work? if not than the video card may be bad. or the settings in the bios may be altered. first try this...unplug the tower, open the case and remove the bios/real time clock (RTC) button cell battery, press the power button to dissipate any voltage that is stored. Re-install the battery, plug tower in and power up. If anything was changed in bios everything would go back to default settings and you would have to enter set up to update date/time etc.

If you can get in setup after pressing F2 check on the advanced chip tab, video and make sure 8mb buffer is selected. save and exit.

F-2 is for setup utility
F-10 is for network boot.

if it stll won't boot up correctly press F8 when booting up and select vga support then maybe get in to the os that way and adjust video display settings after.
