Question about Epson Stylus DX8400 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I know this is too late for the person who asked this originally, but in case anyone Googles this, I may be able to help.
A friend had exactly the same symptoms but no paper was visible in the machine. Eventually I discovered it was hidden behind the print head. So turn the printer off and disconect the power lead. Very gently slide the print head along from the left to the right. Look inside where the print head was and see if there is some paper scrunched up there.

Have you turned the printer off for a minute or 2, this will reset the sensor which threw up the error message, often works
