Question about Saeco Odea Giro Plus Coffee Maker

1 Answer

Saeco Odea Giro Plus spare parts needed

There is a small plastic pipe in the upper front corner (where the brewing module is). I broke it (don't ask how!) and it needs replacing. I think (don't have any service manual) that this pipe is responsible for taking coffee to the output nozzles.
If you look at the machine with brewing module removed, then it's in the top left corner of the bay.

Where do I buy the part?

I have a Saeco Odea Go and my puck in the dreg drawer are really wet and I have water leaking (brown so with coffee) under the dreg drawer. how I can fix it ?

I recently had this problem. I throughly cleaned and lubricated the brew group as directed by the manual. Apparently if the brew group doesn't move smoothly enough it won't grind the correct amount of beans. Try lubricating and then brewing 2-3 cups to have the machine recalibrate the grind amount.

Hi, I have a saeco odea giro plus that has just started to leak nearly all of the brewed coffee into the dreg drawer! Any ideas? thanks in advance...

I had a crack in the tube that connected to the brew group that resulted in a similar dumping of coffee in the dregs (and below the dreg drawer and onto the counter) in my Saeco Odea Giro. Replacing the "Saeco Odea Giro Coffee Dispensing Tube, part number 11003468, fixed my problem. You can replace this yourself if you are very handy. These photos are very helpful (The Go seems pretty similar to the Giro.) http://odeago.zxq.net/Odea_Go_Repair/Welcome.html

The machine odea giro plus whistle while brewing

The scale in the pipe system have norrow at some points so while brewing and with hight pressure you here the whistle.
First I sugest to descale the machine and you may try to do it for three days repeatevly.
However if the noise will not decrease then the machine need full desasemble and remove the scale manualy. But I advice only to do the above if you have problem with the coffee quality or if the noise is so strong and can not bair it any more.

Red ! flashes constantly

The lube is for the o-rings on the brew unit, and the ones on the white plastic valve behind the brew unit. As for the light there might be something a little coffee grounds keeping the door open.

Machine stoppped working

Try this remove the brew unit and clean the screen on the unit, then insert unit, and open steam/hot water valve to prime. If that does not work then there might be a malfunction with the pump, I am assuming that the machine is only 2 weeks old?

Odea giro plus gear that drives the brew group has broken 3 times

The coffee is being ground too fine usually. Also not cleaning the brew group and lubricating it regularly can cause this.

The gears are standard plastic and any excessive force will cause them to break. The only things that cause excessive force to gears on saeco machines is fine coffee compacting in the brew group and/or a dirty brew group that gets stuck and does not cycle properly.
