Question about E-Machines T5226 PC Desktop

My computer i sent my computer to best buy on sept 14th for repairs. i went on line to check status it says they fixed my computer and returned it to me . i wish this was true because i still don't have my product back yet and i'm waiting for this store to open has anyone ever had this problem

Its probably in transit if they mailed it to you, however you didnt clarify.....Yes I have had similar problems ....best buy doesnt control the speed of your packages travel, all they know is that they sent it out by some form of delivery service so in their system its been returned to you....if this is the case you can contact them and get the tracking info and provider info.....and then you can track your pc's transit time...

Have you got a receipt/claim docket from them stating your name, address and the make and model of your computer?
This is used to claim and pick up your computer when it has been repaired. Ask to see the documentation releasing your computer to someone and the verification/signature etc.
If you cannot get satisification from this store, contact the government consumer protection agency and lodge a complaint.

Monitor screen has 7yellow vertical lines


This is almost certainly a hardware problem. Carefully, try applying some light pressure at the top and bottom of the lines (on the frame). This can happen when the display unit goes bad on a LCD display. If your monitor is still under warranty then you should return it. If the light pressure doesn't fix it then you will need to get a new monitor (most likely). The cost to repair those sorts of things out of warranty are not worth it, it is cheaper to throw away and buy new. Sorry, for your troubles. Best Wishes!

I will start by telling you that I am a BIG FAN of Mac computers . . . however, as much as I admire their insanely great strides in innovation by translating artisitic design, functionality, and technology beautifully into a personal computing device, I have been disappoionted how much reliability and overall quality seems to be sacrificed.

Next, gather your receipts, packaging and all the cords, manuals, disks that came with yourt air book and return it ASAP to the store or reseller you purchased in order to exchange. What you describe is all too common with your model. You may want to print the blog from the link above as well and ask to make verify visually the screen quality of the screen before you take another defective laptop all the way back home.About $85.00 per hour, plus parts is what you will end up paying for labor for Mac tech to repair your AirBook if this problem or others pop up after the warranty expires, so don't be afraid to thoroughly have your exchange computer tested before you take it home. Wish I could FIX-YA better, but this is truly your best recourse. Please send us your feedback if this helped and let me know how your experience with returning the computer went.

Best Buy Warranty and Repair Problems


Well Best Buy is not going to re-imburse you for sending it to canon because that was your call. Also when they made the mistake the first time and the second time you brought it you should have just told them to send it to the store, and you should have checked in the notes to make sure they specifically typed in to return the tape with the product.... also you should have risksed it with Best Buy because on the 4th time they send a product out to service it normally is deemed a lemon, in which you would of got a new one. They will not take into consideration that you sent it to canon as the 3rd time or fourth time, however many times its been.

I bought our daughter an HP laptop computer for Christmas year before last. We have taken that computer back to Best Buy so much they know us by name. They claim they have even sent it back to HP twice...


Is it still under warranty?

Would suggest calling HP Customer Support at 1-800-HP INVENT to see what they can do. They will be able to look up the repairs based on the serial # of the laptop.

Most replacements are only offered after 3rd time the same part is replaced.

You could also try Best Buy customer service at 1-888-237-8289.
