When I listen to my music you can hear the instrument, but you can't hear the singing. HELP.

Hi, when your using an ear-phone and you hear only the instruments alone, it means that the ear-phone is bringing out a mono signal(always have one ring at the tip of the jack),but if it was two rings, then you will have a stereo signal that will allow you to hear both the instruments and the voice..

Hope that helped..

Thanks for using fixya.

Hi,
This problem is more often occurs in headphone
there is no problem with your speakers..problem is in wires.
there will connection disjoint near end pin(stereo pin) you can fix this problem if you know how to solder wires..
buy a new stereo pin with cable of desired length or you can get it from old working headphones connect it to your speakers

I can only talk and hear on my palmpixi when i use

I had the exact same problem on 2 different phones before this one. No one at Sprint could figure it out either. It's a problem on the Pixi, and the Pre where the phone thinks it has headphones inserted into the jack, when there aren't, but it disables the earpiece. To Fix: Take a normal jack, dab alcohol onto the tip then insert it into the headphone jack and remove a few times. This cleans out the jack and should solve the problem! Worked for me first try! Also check out precentral.net for more awesome tips!

Cannot hear incoming or outgoing callls

1- Probably the problem is with the speaker = change the in-built speaker
OR
2- The problem is with the earphone jack. = Check if a headphone sign is there on the screen. If yes... then connect & remove headphone/ear-set jack into your mobile few times till the headphone sign is gone from the mobile screen.

I cant hear my music

it's usually the first contact (ground) of the headphone jack module that loses it's elasticity and does no longer touch the headphone plug properly. you can try to pull it back inward from the outside using a dentist tool or a sewing needle. if that fails you have to open the ipod touch and push the contact inward or replace the jack module.

You need to get a new head phone jack installed. It should be free if it is still under warranty.
