Screen wiring pinouts accoustic solutions dvd 263

Hi all

I have exactly the same issue although I bought my 2 screens on eBay and have the screens only. Has anybody been able to discover the pinouts for the 9 pin Din type connector on these screens ? The internal PCB number is DVD-263 and aslo has 0320-D2632-02 REV:00

I have "traced" the circuit board and discoved what I beleive should be the pinouts and although I get power and the stanby light comes on the actual LCD screen doesnt display anything, not even the backlight comes on. I think this could be due to me having the video signal wires in the wrong position but I dont think this is the case. I'm starting to beleive I need the remote to take the screen out of standby but I dont have one.

If anyone replies to this post I will upload the pinouts I have discovered thus far to be added to or corrected by somebody who has been through this before.

Thanks in advance

Outputs from the mini din are as follows. I think the convention is that the row with only two holes goes at the bottom and you number from the bottom and from right to left; so "1" is bottom right; 3 is middle right and 7 is top right

1 Video
2 Video earth
3 Infra red
4 Audio (no idea whether left or right - guess is right)
5 Audio (guess is left)
6 Power +9V
7 Audio earth (combined for both L and R)
8 LED/standby circuit (for the screens)
9 Power +9V
Also a screen plus earth braid

Some things to note:
Yes there are two power lines and I suspect it is safest to use them both with any new power supply (i.e. not from the DVD)
If you want to use the screens as standalone items you will need to arrange for their standby circuit to be live. As far as I can see this requires around 45mV to keep the screens from dropping back into standyby.
Infrared is not needed - obviously unless you plan to try to use it.
I have it working like this.

Final point on the standby situation. The standby line is energised by the 9V line (either of them) and when it comes out of standby there is about 33mA flowing in the circuit. The simple way of keeping the screens on is therefore to short the standby line from the monitor to earth through an appropriate resistor (or probably you could open up the monitors and cut the voltage to the circuit - if you can find it). I have joined the lines from each monitor together and have found that the maximum resistance that will reliably trip the (joined) circuit is 1000 ohm. At this resistance only about 6mA is flowing (I guess 3mA per line) so it seems a simple and harmless way of solving the problem. Have it all working like this.

My newly bought Dolphin NU touch 4GB has charged for over 6 hours. I fixed the headset correctly. Still it won't power on. Although when charging in the PC the screen lights up. Please help. Thx

Did you get it on ebay? My player has the same issue... And it seems to me that the seller knew about it. I haven't found a solution yet, but will probably sent it straight to NU as there is a warranty.

Any High quality RCA type Audio/Video cables will work for your installation, I just researched this for you.

As for your second question copying from DVD to DVD is a tricky situation. DVD's have several forms of copy protection including CSS Macrovision Level 2 and Encryption. Under the fair use act you are legally allowed to make backups of media that you own. I am not going to post the solution here as it may violate site rules but I know how to do it. If you contact me I will tell you how.

I hope you find this information useful, Feel free to contact me with any of your technical needs. I do this for a hobby, My info is always FREE....

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking me to explain. If you are asking why it has to be locked or "frozen" in the DVD mode it is because that is the easiest way to effect the fix, ie, by wiring the new connection to the cable that comes from the DVD player into the motherboard. If your set is already "frozen" in the DVD mode then you are ready to start the fix. If you need to get it in the DVD mode just stick a DVD in the player and the set will go into the DVD mode. If this is not what you wanted clarification on then please be more specific as to what you are puzzled by.

I need a power cord

If it's the same as the DTV-265 26" LCD/DVD, then it is the same as a power cord for any standard PC Tower, or PC Monitor.

I bought one off ebay for $6. Or just go to your local computer store.
