SOURCE: Paper Jam

Try putting a piece of tape or something sticky on the eraser end of a pencil and try to work out the paper. Sometimes, you can use needle nose pliers or other long nose pliers to grab the paper and pull it out.

SOURCE: Paper Jam

try to feed tick media as coated or glossy which may push small paper bit from that location
or open the rear side door and push the lever on two side of printer to release the fuser grip and clear the paper from where you may access it’s easily

It won't "catch" the paper to print. It goes through all of the normal sounds, but won't print.

Check that there are still two rubber bands around the two little rollers. One of mine fell off and got stuck inside.

DELL 1600N ADF JAM. IT ISNT PICKING UP THE PAPER. THE GEARS ARE TURNING BUT IT ISNT GRABBING

Hi I had the original problem too, but the cheapest replacement part I could find is 30 pounds.
So I stuck a piece of sellotape over the white bit and trimmed the edges so it didn't catch the paper on the way over. Works for the moment.

The mp470 printer keeps saying it needs paper when it doesn't and it says the paper is jammed when its not

You will have some paper stuck in it somewhere. I presume you had a jam and removed the paper but it will have probably left some behind. Shine a torch into the print engine and look behind the 4 and 5 white little rollers. Turn the machine around and remove the rear cover and see if any is there. I can almost guarantee some tiny piece of paper is still in there.

Driver side door won't close. small white plastic piece in door latch, keeps hitting something and won't catch and close

Take a flat head screw driver and with some effort move that little white piece to the left or right. Give it a little spray with some wd40 or some sort of penitrating oil. If you have trouble moving this piece with the screwdriver try lifting the door handle while you pry at the piece

PAPER got stuck, pulled it out, now paper keeps getting stuck everytime

Look inside where the paper was stuck. There is most likely a tiny piece of paper still stuck in there. Use a compressed air can to blow out the inside of the copier.

Printer keeps saying there is a paperjam but theres no paper in it

Hi,
Sometimes when a paper gets stuck in the printer after removing it a little piece could be stuck in the sensor of the printer. Try opening the top cover of the printer as if you were going to remove the cartridges and check for any little pieces of paper or for anything that could be causing a paper jam. If you do not find anything it could mean a bad sensor or the printer not function properly if you want you can reset the printer here are the steps on how to do that. http://www.bit.ly/aAwUQh

My ricoh CL 3500 keeps getting a Y paper jam.

There is something stuck in it. A small piece of paper, paper clip.

A friend of mine was having the same problem with a similar printer. I told him there was something in there. I took a look and found that a paper clip some how fell into the unit and was in a tight spot. Once removed the printer worked great.

It could be as simple as a little piece of paper, or a bit hard like a piece of paper wrapped around a moving part inside.

Brother MFC-8840d ADF feed problem

Hi, the left hinge is spring loaded to keep the lid open. This applies a lot of pressure on the pivot point of the hinge (steel pin/plastic hinge) that elongates the plastic holes and raises the lid from the scanner. As the paper leaves the scan window, a ramp next to the scan window sends the paper up to the tray, just past that ramp under the lid is a lip that guides the paper to the tray. With the hinge stretched, the lip is too high and catches the end of the paper at the rear only, and jams the paper. If you press on the cover (with the new hinge) and it does not catch then you have installed a bad hinge. Also ensure that the top part of the hinge is on the guide pins under the cover.

The system says error 5100,

Hi You can Try 2 things.

There is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there

Next try.

It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
