How do I turn off parental controls

Depends on what you are trying to do. To use the Nabi2 as an adult tablet, put it into mommy or daddy mode, then use the settings to have it run in parent mode as the default.

Other apps have parental controls, but I think you may be looking to have it turn on into parent mode.

Requires password when changing channels

Perhaps somebody set parental control on all of the channels. Many TVs and DVRs have a parental control feature that lets parents put a password lock on channels they consider unfit for their children.

Roku com support-how do I change the Parental Control setting for my ROKU 3050X?

Setting parental controls is simple:
  • On your computer, go to Account (it's linked from the upper right of each Redbox Instant by Verizon web page) and choose the Manage Parental Controls tab.
  • On the Roku, parental controls also are available directly under Account.
  • On the Xbox, parental controls are controlled through the console and not the Redbox Instant by Verizon app. You can, however, use our app to see what your parental controls are set to. Just go to Account and choose Preferences.
    • For more information about how to restrict movies and TV shows using your Xbox 360, see Xbox 360 console parental controls.
    • If you're using an Xbox One, more information can be found here.
  • On any other supported device, choose Account within the Redbox Instant by Verizon app, and then select Preferences.
From there, choose the option that's right for you and your family: The Young Children option, for example, will allow any content appropriate for children up to age 6 to be streamed without a password. Other settings are available, including one that will not allow streaming purchases without a password. The parental controls password is the same as your Redbox Instant by Verizon account password.

Please keep in mind that parental control settings are specific to the device on which they are set: If you enable parental controls on an iPad, for example, and want all your other devices to control access to Redbox Instant by Verizon in the same way, you'll have to enable the same settings on all of the other devices. This gives you the flexibility to control what can be watched and purchased on a device-by-device basis.

How do I change Parental Control on ROKU?

Parental control is one of the features available on roku. This feature restricts the children to access the movies and TV shows based on the rating of the movies and TV shows.
Roku doesn't provide any true parent controls. But the parental control workaround is simpler one. Only a few channels on roku have the parent control. Such channels are Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, and Redbox.
Initially, you have setup your roku account and add the channels from the channel store by using the PIN.
1.Sign in to your roku.com/link account.
2.Click the update button which is next to the PIN reference.
3.Then choose the choice "A PIN is required when using your Roku account to make the purchase or add any item from the Channel Store."
4.Put the 4-digit PIN and save the changes. After that, you can watch the channel by installing them from the roku channel store.
After finishing the watching the channels delete it.
If you deleting the paid channels means there are no issues because you need not pay again for reinstall. For re-install it you have to sign in again.
For some channels which have parental control, that doesn't require to delete the channel after watching.
If you want more information about the roku call 1-844-965-4357 to get instant help.

I know of Spyrix.com keylogger as my friend is using to monitor her children so a keylogger is not illegal it is ligeal as it has several benefits.

If you want to monitor children for parental control, you'd better tell your children about the monitoring and achieve an agreement that you won't invade their privacy. And if you want to realize parental control on PC, you can use such kind of program to block sites and time control, etc.I have used parental control program of anykeylogger(www.anykeylogger.com),it works well, you can also find other fine programs on the Internet.

How do I turn on my MSI laptop, model #MS-16GN? It's my 13 year old daughter's and I need to monitor.

If you mean set up parental controls, you need to have an account on the laptop under your name with your own password (the next bit s taken directly from Microsoft)

Open Parental Controls by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, and then, under User Accounts, clicking Set up Parental Controls.? 18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b.png If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click the standard user account for which you want to set Parental Controls. (this will be your daughters account)

Under Parental Controls, click On.

Once you've turned on Parental Controls for your child's standard user account, you can adjust the individual settings that you want to control. You can control the following areas:
  1. Web restrictions. You can restrict the websites that children can visit, make sure children only visit age-appropriate websites, indicate whether you want to allow file downloads, and set up which content you want the content filters to block and allow. You can also block or allow specific websites. For more information, see Limit the content that children can view on the web.

Time limits. You can set time limits to control when children are allowed to log on to the computer. Time limits prevent children from logging on during the specified hours and, if they are already logged on, they will be automatically logged off. You can set different logon hours for every day of the week. For more information, see Control when children can use the computer.

  2. Games. You can control access to games, choose an age rating level, choose the types of content you want to block, and decide whether you want to allow or block unrated or specific games. For more information, see Specify which games children can play.

  3. Allow or block specific programs. You can prevent children from running programs that you don't want them to run. For more information, see Prevent children from using specific programs.

With XP, all you can do is set up content adviser, which is a bit limited
To do this: Control panel / Internet options / Content / Content Advisor / Then in the box that appears, set the level of safety

How to set parental block on tv so it cant even be turned on Tv is a proscan 47lb45h

DTV parental controls include blocking of unrated programming, channel-by-channel blocking and blocking by content rating levels. You have control over what information gets displayed on the Electronic Program Guide, and can unlock controls for a particular time frame.

Initially your service uses default settings, which allow access to all programs. Ratings are set from the Main Account. Subaccounts (individual user accounts) can be set up for household members (toddlers, tweens and teens), based on their viewing needs. Once Parental Controls are activated, an icon will appear in the navigation menu.

Parental Control Settings from the Main Account

Press the Menu key on your remote control and arrow to the Settings tab. Press OK on your remote. Enter your Password, arrow to OK and press OK. Arrow to the Parental Control section and highlight Change, press OK. This takes you to the Users tab. Here ratings for Movies, TV and Content are set up along with Unlock Timeout. Each rating has a drop-down menu for age appropriate programming. The Content ratings work in addition to the Movie and TV ratings and let you block unwanted content such as *** or violence.

Tip: The Unlock Timeout lets you deactivate the Parental Controls for 30 minutes to 3 hours and after that time will automatically reactivate parental controls.

To choose your Movie settings, press OK and a drop-down menu will appear. Select the desired rating and press OK. Next you can do the same for TV Ratings, and Unlock Timeout. Arrow to Content Rating. Select the ratings you want to block, press OK and a checkmark will appear. To remove the content rating press OK again. Ensure that the Enable Parental Control box is checked. If it is not checked, Parental Control is not enabled. Arrow to Done and press OK, which takes you back to the Preferences tab. Arrow down to OK and press OK. You will be returned to your program.

NOTE: Any Parental Controls set will only take effect if you check the Enable Parental Controls option on the Main Account and exit the Preferences tab via the OK button. Otherwise, the default setting is in effect, allowing the viewing of all programs regardless of settings for individual user accounts.
How to set up Subaccounts (Individual User Accounts)

Press the Menu key on your remote control and arrow to the Settings tab. Press the Select key on your remote. Input your Password, arrow to OK and press the Select key on your remote. If the electronic keyboard appears, just press the Select key on your remote again. Arrow to the Users tab and press Select. Arrow to Add, press Select. Arrow to New Login and press Select to display a digital keyboard. Use your remote's Arrow keys and the Select key to enter a Login Name. When done, arrow to Enter on the digital keyboard and press Select. The new Login Name will appear in the box.

Arrow to and choose the desired Movie Rating for this User and press Select. Now, arrow to and choose the desired TV Rating and press Select. Arrow to and enter New Password, Select. Arrow to Confirm Password and reenter what you typed in the New Password field, Select. Arrow to Allowance. If you would like to set a spending limit for Pay Per View events and movies, enter the amount and press Select. Arrow down to Submit and press Select. To restore TV viewing, press the Menu button on the remote twice.
