It is most probably a network connection problem between the camera and your network. Chances are, the camera cannot gain internet connection.

If the network led light on the camera does not light at all, then you can try to trouble shoot the problem by doing the following:

1. Try to plug the network cable to a different port of the switch or router.
2. Try to change the UTP or network cable of the camera.
3. Check on the network settings of the camera. The IP address might have changed. If it came with an installation cd, you can re-install it again.

yes there is a internal chip that gets faulty.which actually detects to which source the camera is connected.if that chip becomes weak or faulty.it stops detecting the sources to which it is connected.but the possibility of getting it repaired is very rare.if the chip becomes completely faulty ,then new replacement chip is not available.any local web-cam,camera electronics repair shop if they have same camera they can get the second hand chip replaced in the camera.but if there is the problem of chip getting weak then it can be re-soldered and camera will become proper.so the local camera repair electronics repair shop has to check for this possibilities.but if the chip is got faulty then getting it replaced with second hand chip is not advisable .because there is guarantee as how much this chip will last. ------------------------- thanks.this will help.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.
