Need to replace the ignitor for the wok burner. Does anyone know where you can purchase a replacement ignitor? Do you have to remove the glass cooktop in order to replace the ignitor?

One of the 5 igniters on my 30" DCS cook top won't fire. The LED on the dial for that burner also won"t illuminate. How do I remove the igniter to repalce it ?

My DCS has had several problems, this just the latest... 3 of the 5 burners just click and don't light, problem started all at the same time. I usually find cleaning things fixes most problems, but I don't know how to open it up to get to the electrical bits. Frustrating!

most likely the problem is the switch places onto the shaft of the valve. to replace the switch, you would need to remove the burner cap and port rings. you will see a large brass nut that needs to be removed on all 4 or 5 burners. next you would need to remove the nut in the center of the simmer port ring which is also the venturi for the main burner. you must be careful when removing this nut as they have a tendancy to lock onto the jet holder and could be hard to remove (don't strip or break the venturi or holder).....after you remove those nuts, the burners and top can be removed (watch the igniter wires). you can remove the switch by removing the retainer clip that holds the switch onto the valvestem.

DCS CT365SS igniter wires?

no not standard. but you can replace them if you know a good place to buy high temp wires. If not buy the upper wire harness for the range and the igniter wires will be in that.

Igniter works, but the clicking doesn't stop

The electrode (spark plug) for that burner is not telling the spark module the burner is lit and go ahead and turn off the spark. That electrode and the wiring on it need to be replaced, from that burner back to the spark module. I found this place online that sells that part

Hi sandybaru,

I believe your ignition switches have come in to contact with either water or moisture.

Please read my below Tip on how to fix the problem:

If it does not solve your problem, I'd suggest replacing the ignition switches.

The igniters will not stop sparking on my dcs cooktop when I turn the burners on. This happens with all burners.

Because this is happening on all burners, i would say you have a faulty ground to the ignition module.
