SOURCE: Outgoing email on my Iphone

Take a look at your SMTP mail settings. Settings --> Mail --> Accounts. Make sure that you have the proper outgoing (SMTP) server listed for that particular account.

SOURCE: emailing

You might have a thing called CC Myself on which sends you a copy. It really is not nessaceray since you get a copy in your sent items folder.

Good email transmissions are delayed.

Sadly this is most likely a coverage or server issue. You will want to contact your Mobility team or Good Admin at your office. They should be able to look into this delay for you.

The only thing you can do on this end is make sure that you are in excellent coverage or on wifi when you try to send the emails. Any other part of the delay will most likely be at your companies server.

I can send e.mails from work from my ipnone 3gs but nowhere else???

Hi,
Base on your question, am I correct? you can send email and receive emails from your Iphone, no problem at all. That mean your Iphone doesnt' have any problem with email.
Elsewhere, such as you use web-base email, you log on email from website and you couldn't send emails from the website??? Is that right? Or you have a email client software, such as: outlook, thunderbird, .. and you can't send email from that.
In my opinion, if you can send and receive emails from Iphone then the email server is ok, your Iphone is working well with email. Problem is the elsewhere you use to send and receive emails, maybe the setting of email client software, maybe the compatible of web browser. If you could, you try the setting, make sure the ports is correct.
Hope this will help. Keep posting your question. I will follow up. Thanks for reading.

can you send using 3G connection? because if you can, it is possible that your wifi network is blocking the iphone to send emails. have you also checked if there are other SMTP servers that you can activate for you to be able to send emails?

I tried sending a large file via email on my iphone

Go into itunes and try syncing your phone. You may be able to move the email from the application. Otherwise delete your mail account, and re install it after backing it up with itunes so you don't lose the contacts. I have 2 of them and mine has done that before, my wifes never has. so it's a quirk, but it was the only way I could get mine running again, it shouldn't affect anything else, just re input the settings for the email account and you should be good to go

Problem with sending emails on the iphone

What email provider are you using.
Also check who is your incoming mail server but the best way to do this is to delete your account and register it again on iPhone push mail.
