if the charger is working and connected properly , it will charge with out the phone being switched on
check the charger with another phone or it could be a bad battery not accepting a charge
hello Sir,its probably because the phone's battery might be damaged.Just replace the battery and then try it.If that does'nt works then just contact the customer service centre or u might end up bricking your phone.
Try taking the phone battery out of the phone, then leave the phone for 15 minutes replace battery and plug inlead for charging don't turn on the phone but charge the phone for a couple of hours then turn on and see if it has been fixed.

Charging via a USB cable from a PC is slow - much slower than using a mains adapter. If the battery was fully discharged it might take ten minutes or so befor your phone has sufficient charge to turn on.
This can be caused by the fact that you ran your battery so low that when its charging the phone tried to turn itself on but loses all power instantly and dies try charging the phone through the computer you might have better luck with getting it to run properly.
- plugged in the charger WITHOUT the battery inside, - then put in the battery (while still plugged in). - The phone came back to life and works fine now.
