This is caused because the stereo you have put in, is a high power output, or higher than the factory and puts that extra power into the factory amp systems causing the amp to surge the power to the speaker resulting in the pop sound, most newer cars use a stereo system without an internal amp so as to reduce heat and a external amp in usually under a seat or dash and a high power stereo boost the output of the amp.

Sub problem with kenwood deck

well sounds like you crossed a wire somewhere. I would go through all the wires and check all the fuses on the amp and car.

I have a fairly good sound system in my jeep cherokee, new speakers, deck, new battery, rca cables, and a new box for my subs. But recently i've been dealing with some problems. i've had my amp grounded...

there are really only 2 causes for this.

  1. grounds. Make sure the grounds are clean and tight and all paint and dirt was removed before they were fastened.
  2. Your alternator is starting to go bad.
I would lean toward the grounding problem as you have said you just changed them. Also make sure the grounds are as short as possible.

connect the speake(sub) directly to the stereo(just use one of the rear 6x9 speaker wire to test the sub and make sure it's not the amp. if it does not work, it's the sub

Sub not working after installing the jensen vm9022 deck

reinstall the factory radio use a digital volt meter to see witch wire supplies voltage when radio is turned on and off, note placement on harness then verify this wire is hooked up on the output side aftermarket harness you may have to jump it to get the maps to turn on. tip you can carefully pull unused wire from harness example (dimmer wire orange white) and move it to the position needed to keep it a clean install .

Sony 1200 watt amp

What kind of deck to you have? Sometimes there's a setting for the subwoofer output that has to be turned on. How is the deck hooked up to the amp? Be sure of the normal things: -Make sure the sub is connected in side it's box -Make sure the RCA cables didn't come off the deck -Check every connection! Let me know and be sure to leave feedback or I don't get paid.
