"dr" means door latch assembly faulty. part # 131763245. you can replace it two ways. 1) UNPLUG UNIT; remove top and latch screws. reach down inside front panel and remove the old one install new one.

you can also do it this way, which is much easier in my opinion. open the door, remove the screws holding the latch. remove spring clamp holding door boot/bellows in place, carefully peel seal back away from the side of opening where the latch is located. careful now, edges are sharp. reach in and pull the latch to the opening, don't yank on it, you have to replace the wires exactly the way they are on the old switch. though they are notched and it's virtually impossible to plug them in wrong, might as well make it easy. ressemble the unit, and you should be washing again.

* this is a remedy to the most common problem taking into consideration the symptom you described. ther motor control is possibly bad, but less likely. the door switch is a safer, cheaper place to hedge your bets.

good luck

Dryer door pops open during cycle

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer door keeps popping open during the cycle. I suggest making sure that the door has been completely closed before starting the cycle. If this is done, and the door is still popping open, there might be something going on with the door latch. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine why the door keeps opening mid-cycle. Hope this is helpful.

-Best regards-

Asko d3251 randomly stopping during cycle.

The thing that immediately comes to mind is a faulty door switch or latch. The door switch can be replaced and you might be ok. But the latch would be more tricky to check. Sometimes if dishwasher is not level or if the door springs are misalinged the door tends to slip and release the latch due to pressure. It works when you open and shut. But not sure about the night time cycle. That sounds a bit creepy if it starts again by itself. Why not put a tape around the door and then start. That will help eliminate the obvious ones. The other thing that exends dishwasher cycle time is the lack of adequate water temperature. Could be heater or thermostat or both.

Affinity frigidare front load washer won't start. It beeps with message flashing (DR)

Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.

I was washing beach towels and during the rinse/spin cycle the door popped open on my whirlpool duet ht (model GHW9400PL4). I haven't been able to close the door since it opened before the cycle was...

those have a 2 latch system, sounds like the second latch that engages during the spin cycle never quite completed the safety lock , you could try and jumper the latch to see if that would release it, But it seems the secondary latch wasn't working properly in the first place, even the heaviest loads shouldn't pop the door open,

Dishwasher stops during cycle and full of dirty water

you are having a problem with your door latch.the unit may not be staying closed or the latch strike is not in position to engage the door switches.
check the metal bracket just where the door closes and try to bend it downward , closer to the door and see if this helps to keep it working.

Dish washer that does not pump out the water on it"s final cycle

I had this same problem and after having the repairman over to our house several times and having the circuit board changed, I figured it out on my own...

It turns out that the pressure created from the steam during the water heating stage (HO) was pushing on the door latch just enough to prevent the motor from running properly. Because the door wasn't latched completely, the water wouldn't drain and the dishwasher would go to the "Drying" cycle without ever pumping the water out of the basin.

I adjusted the levelling on the DW and that helped, but I'm still not sure that the problem is fixed. We may need a new latch assembly.

To test this, when the DW stops running at any time, push on the door. If the motor kicks back on, this is the problem.
