If you have followed all the steps as it is including flicking the hold button on and off a couple of times before pressing menu and center buttons then your ipod may not be recoverable....try the procedure step by step a couple of times, try using a  wall charger in case battery's dead and if it still doesnt worl, contact the service center for a paid service.

Hi,

You need to reset it, just hold down the middle button and the "menu" button for about 7-8 seconds, or until the apple logo appears.
Hope this helps

Help

Hi, Try this out...

1) Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2) Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

I have a ipod nano that stays on a apple screen saver

Try resetting it by first toggling the hold switch and putting it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu simultaneously for six to ten seconds and it should work after that.

WHEN YOUR FINGERS START TO HURT...YOU KNOW...I WORKED FOR ME...MY IPOD WORKED FINE EVENTHOUGH LOW CHARGE. THEN IT JUST SHUT OFF. WHEN I TRIED TO CHARGE IT, IT DID NOTHING, NOTHING ON IPOD, NOTHING SHOWED UP ON COMP. I TRIED THE 40 SEC THING AND IM BACK UP...THANKS GUYS!

MY IPOD NANO FROZE!!!!!!!!!

I think you bricked it. When it says Do Not Disconnect, it means it!! If you disconnected it while it said that, you bricked it! The motherboard can be replaced, however, and it should work again. Don't think its worth doing that though.
