Please help with factory car alarm problem

Hi There,

I have a problem with my car alarm and would be greatful if you could help.

I have a 1995 Honda Accord which has a factory alarm fitted. I recently had some work done to the car and whilst the machanic was waiting for the new parts to turn up he left the battery out of the car (as this also needed replacing). Now I have had parts replaced, my car is immobilised. I wasn't given a key FOB when I purchased the car but now it seems that is what I require to have a fully operational car again.

I have been in touch with the nearest Honda garage to me (Peterborough) and all they're doing is running me round in circles. After giving them the chassis # and all visable codes on the VALEO alarm box, the customer service rep and the shop floor worker are giving me contradicting information. All I want to do is order a new key FOB for my car.

I have seen key FOBs for Honda cars on EBAY and was now wondering if you could programme the FOB to my car? If you can I will provide you will all the information you need to do this and send you the FOB. If you can't do this, do you know of any car alarm specialists I can contact to help me?

Thank you for your time,
Natasha Bottrill

SOURCE: Honda Accord Radio code

Hi all! I have solved my radio dilemma. I took the dash apart and found the manufacturer sticker on the bottom of the radio. It has the serial number on the sticker. You need this number when you call the Honda dealer and tell them your problem. I simply called and explained what happened to the service department of my local Honda dealer and gave them the serial number I found on the radio and they gave me the code for no charge. They just put the number in their computer and VOILA! out came the five digit code(which, by the way, is probably the same for all Honda Accord EX and the same Acura cars from 1994 to 1998 that have a casette player/radio. The code is 21543. Try it if you are having this problem and own the cars with said dates above). Hope this helps someone else.

Test the neutral safety switch.

Put your foot on the brake.

Move gear lever to "N"

Start the car

If it start then it's a defective neutral safety switch.

Shift to PARK and shut off engine.

1995 J30 maxama iv removed the factoury steario and putting a new cd player into it but im haveing trouble with the car wiring i know how to hook up a new steario but trying to use the maxama factoury...

There is a great site for this type of wiring that you are looking for. I tried to attach the file here, but it will not let me. What you need to do is go to, and look towrd the top left for a Wiring Diagrams option, then scroll down to Nissan and look for Maxima. It may not have all you are looking for, however, since it is a car alarm site.

If the factory harness is still in tact, you can buy an adapter at Best Buy for about 20$ or ask to see one and write down the pins and wires then match it up and cut n splice to your new deck. Hope this helps

You may have a bad antenna or antenna cable.
FM signals are measured in microvolts and are easily influenced by poor antennas or a mashed antenna cable.

Wiring/Installation of Pioneer CD Player

You need to get an installation kit that also has the universal wiring harness to connect to the factory harness in the car. That way you only need to match the wire colors of the Pioneer harness to the wire colors of the universal harness and made good connections and insulate those connections. Then the Pioneer harness plugs into the Pioneer radio and the universal harness plugs into the factory harness in the car.

Let me know if this helps, or if you need more help.

Pioneer DEH-P4000 DFS Alarm driving me crazy

How to disarm DFS alarm How to disarm DFS alarm Disarming alarm Upon entering your vehicle and within the ENTRY DELAY TIME set within the DFS alarm Menu, attach your Pioneer Detachable face. If you have forgotten the Detachable Face Panel: If the STARTER DISABLE is ON, insert the ignition key in the ignition within the ENTRY DELAY TIME, then turn the key from OFF to ON 5 times within 1 minute. If the starter disable is OFF, insert the ignition key in the ignition and turn the key from OFF to ON within the ENTRY DELAY TIME. CAUTION: If the starter motor will not run, the cause may be the DFS alarm. To check whether the DFS alarm is cause, try switching the position of the switch installed according to the AVOIDING TROUBLE section of the installation manual. If the DFS alarm is the cause of the trouble, then the starter motor will run. In case, confirm DFS alarm operation in safe place. If there is no problem, switch back to its original position. If left at the newly switched position, some functions of the DFS alarm will not operate. If the starter motor will not run after switching the switch, something other than the DFS alarm may be causing the problem. Have the vehicle checked at a nearby dealer. ----------------------------------------------- Select the DFS alarm feature ON/OFF mode (alarm ) in the initial setting menu. Press the arrow (up) button to switch the DFS alarm feature ON. Press the arrow (down) button to deactivate the DFS alarm feature. Press FUNCTION button for 2 seconds to enter the DFS alarm setting menu These are a couple of things I found to fix this problem. Here is the link that I got them from:,,2076_310069579,00.html Hope this helps:) Jason
