No crank 99 grand prix half the dash goes out somtimes

It could be the key switch, or the neutral safety switch.
You would need to know if you have power on the small wire on the solenoid that comes from the key switch when the switch is in the start position. The neutral safety switch is in the circuit between the key and the starter.

WillNot start batt., good starter, good all fuzzes good

If the engine is not cranking over, it could be the clutch safety switch
(standard trans), Neutral safety switch (automatic) or ignition switch.

If the engine is cranking but not starting, it is not the starter, battery
or alternator. Check fuel supply, ignition and compression.

Starter clicks but engine won't crank, starter tested ok. 1991 cadillac seville. bypasskey system recently by passed `1 month ago. no ecm or bcm codes.

is the battery weak?if good ck all grounds, then ck voltage from batt. down to starter.also make sure solenoid isnt loose on starter case.If you did bypass and it cranks then neutral switch or ignition switch could be worn.good luck

I was driving my 2002 dodge caravan i turn the car off and it would not turn back on.i got no power. then i got a jump an it came on but the battery light came on.

Check your battery connections first. If thats good do a load check on your batt. When its dark turn your headlights on with car off. Are your lights really dim. If so you might need a new batt. Also make sure that your nuetral safety switch is working. Move the steering column shifter around when you crank the motor. Any change?

Have new proper batt.Have new starter celenoid, new

Remove spark plug and attempt to crank. If it turns faster (without compression) it may be valve adjustment. If it still turns over slowly with plug out check battery ground for tightness to mower body. If the ground is good check the starter by removing battery and atttaching jumper cables to pos and neg battery terminals first, then the pos jumper to starter terminal (where red wire attaches). Then touch the neg jumper to a good engine ground (I use shroud bolt). Be careful as this last connection will cause some arcing. If it still cranks slowly with the plug out, it is probably the starter.

The Batt does not have a full charge or it is the wrong cranking AMP's for the car... find out if it is the right Batt and also that it is put on a "slow charge" over night or at least 6 hr's
