SOURCE: casio pathfinder SPF 70-s titanium band adjustment

The schlatter.org solution is for the other type of casio band I've run into.

The wristband with the arrows has a fine pictorial solution at http://www.wikihow.com/Adjust-a-Casio-S-935L-Watch-Band

Basically you use a very very fine poker to poke the pins out in the direction of the arrows.

NOTE: you can't poke them out if you will drive them into your work surface, so think about that before you start.

SOURCE: adjust expandable watch bands- Timex watch

Most expandable watch bands aren't sizable. IF it is sizable you will be able to tell when you stretch the bracelet out. If it looks like you can unlatch the links when you stretch it out then you might be in luck, but like I said, most are not sizable.

SOURCE: how to adjust metal wrist band on casio watch?

  1. Pop out one spring pin to disconnect the band from the watch or from itself at the clasp. If you don't have a special tool for this, a needle or a pin will probably work. A straightened paper clip may be too thick, but they are cheap so you could try it. Now the watch and band can sit flat on the work table.
  2. Examine the links. If some of them have little arrows on them (usually the ones closest to both sides of the clasp), they are removable.
  3. These removable links are held together by a "U" shaped (actually a squared off "U" - sort of like this |_| ) pin that is inserted into the link. There may should be some kind of window-like opening in the link into which you can insert a narrow screwdriver or similar tool or even a small nail (around 6-penny size) and push out the |_| shaped pin. A straightened paper clip is probably not sturdy enough, but you could try it. Push in the direction of the arrow (from tail to point). The links that were joined by the |_| pin can now be separated.
  4. Remove a second such pin from another adjacent link. Now a single link is free and can be discarded (or kept). Reconnect the remaining adjustable links with one of the |_| pins and re-attach the spring pin from step 1 so the band is reunited with itself or with the watch.
  5. Try it on. If it is still too long, repeat the process. Good luck.

SOURCE: Casio watch

in time keeper mode (press lower left button 6 times) then hold down the top left button until the current digital timer starts blinking then hold down the lower right hand button until you see the minute hand start moving if you got a long way to go like more than 2 hours of adjusting press and hold the top right button and the bottom right button and the minute hand will move automatically. to stop the movement push the bottom right button and pressing this bottom right button advances the minute hand 20 seconds .. at a tick.

I hope this helps

How do I adjust the length of the bracelet (watch band) for a Casio EF106D-2AV bracelet watch?

  • Select a clean, flat work surface where you can perform your watch band adjustment. Put down a piece of felt to protect the face of your Casio. Turn on a lamp near your workspace to better illuminate the watch components with which you will be working.
  • Lay your Casio face down on the protective felt. Look for the small arrows on the back of some of the watch links; these arrows indicate the removable watch links and the direction their pins should be removed.
  • Locate the pin hole above the arrow on the removable watch links. Insert the tip of a watch pin removal tool, or push pin, into the pin hole. Apply pressure to the link pin, in the direction indicated by the arrow, to free the pin and remove the link. A pair of needle-nose watch or jewelry pliers can be used to help pull out stubborn link pins. Remove as many links as necessary for your watch to fit perfectly.
  • Reserve the links and link pins that you remove from your Casio Edifice watch. Store the removed watch components in a small, clear, plastic zipper bag. These components can be used when repairing or expanding your Casio watch band.
  • WARNING:Casio recommends that customers have their watch bands sized by an authorized Casio watch dealer. Sizing the band of your Casio Edifice yourself may void the manufacturer's warranty on your watch. Contact Casio customer support for more warranty information.

On most brands, there are pins that form hinges for the links of strap. You need to push them out to remove links. Usually you would find arrows marked from inside of the metal bracelet which show you the direction in which to remove the pins. You can remove it if you have a small watch maker's screwdriver but you have to be careful. or get one of these ..

which should help you to remove the link pins safely without scratching.

    Casio watch band adjustment

Check the Citizen web site: http://www.citizenwatch.com/Technical/English/Service/pin1tube.pdf

You can skip the part about removing the split tube. Instead of their pin pushing tool, I used a short piece of straight pin held with long-nose pliers while I squeezed using medium sized channel-lock pliers. A helper to hold the watch would've been good.
