Driver problems when my computer boots up it tries to install drivers for my Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection. then it says the install fails. when i look at the properties it gives me error 31 cannot locate drivers. i look at the drivers tab and it says they're there. when i try to install drivers from a flash it says install failed couldn't locate the file specified. i need my internet back. this started happening after a routine windows update failed. service pack 2 i think, if that helps.

Try installing service pack 3. I have found from experience that drivers that were not found with sp2 installed were suddenly located after install of sp3.

I want to downgrade my intel pro/wireless 3945ABG v 12.4.0.21 to v 10.5.1.72 or 10.5.1.75. how to do that?

You will have to remove the driver & softwares from your operating system first.
To remove softwares... Go to Control Panel > Add Remove Softwares > Select Intel Pro/Wireless and choose remove.
To remove drivers... Right click on my computer > Go to Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Select Wireless Network Adapter > right click on it & select Uninstall
Then Restart your system & begin with the downgrade version of drivers you have.

Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection code 10

Hi,
Code 10 usually means the device driver is not compatible, outdated or corrupt.

Try uninstalling the wireless device again and then reinstall using the latest driver available from:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2259&OSFullName=Windows+Vista*+Home+Premium%2C+32-bit+version&lang=eng&strOSs=153&submit=Go!

NB If you're running XP, use the second one.

Hope this helps

Code 10, intel pro/wireless

You can try updating the drivers for that wireless adapter. If the same happens, you can try to uninstall it completely then reinstall it with the updated drivers.

You can also try to install it on a different slot or a different laptop to test the connection.

If you have other problems, go ahead and press the ask button and i'll answer it for you.
