I can't open HP MediaSmart Webcam

For the first few months I could access the camera with no problem, and since I was fooling with it constantly it was in my recently used programs list in the Start menu. But a while back the icon disappeared and when I try opening the HP MediSmart menu and click on video, it redirects me to Window Media Player.

There's another video program I can get to, but I liked the simplicity of the MediaSmart option. How can I get the icon back so I can use the HP MediaSmart webcam again? And why doesn't the HP MediaSmart menu take me where it's supposed to?
