We have a Samsung idcs 28d system. How do I prevent an all-page announcement at my station?

Hi Rachel, you need to remove your extension from the page groups, to do this;

press TRANSFER - 200 - 1234 - 1 - SPEAKER KEY

press 604.

using the 3rd softkey and your volume key when the cursor is under the 'members' find your extension number and press HOLD to delete yourself.

I have posted a video which actually shows how to add members to a group, this will give you an idea how to do the above, or for more tips go to

Hope that this helps

How to page

You will need the page codes if you use the feature to page select groups. One softkey will have PGE written above it when the phone is in a mode that can page. This is the Page key (the second softkey on most of the phones in the group).

To make a page announcement to phones or external speakers: Lift the handset, press the extension and then enter a paging access code.

To make a group page, Press Group Page and then the group code or press extension + #31 and the zone number .

To make an All Call Page

1. With the handset off-hook, press All Call Page
...or dial #30. This pages all telephones in the All Call Page Group but, depending
on system programming, you may or may not page external speakers.
2. Make your announcement then hang up.

To make an Emergency Page

1. To make an Emergency Page, lift the handset off-hook, dial #37.
2. To make an Emergency Page to a group, lift the handset off-hook, dial #38 and
enter the Group number.

How to use the intercome? and Paging system?

How so? The TDA/TDE systems have page groups and external page is assigned to one of those groups at installation.
At the very minimum, you should be able to dial *3301-33xx on the intercom and page the different phones and external page assigned to that group. IIRC by default, system phones are usually in group 01. In passing, I think *43 from any phone will answer said page and cut off the speakers.

As far as the intercom, each phone is numbered and the extensions usually start a 101. You dial and it either rings or tones (that can be programmed) and you can use the intercom.

Somewhere, there is a user's guide (UG) for the phones. It's particular to the phone system, but the TDA book is universal for all systems. If you need it, comment back with your system model and I'll drop a link to you.

How do i use the intercom so all the xtensions hear it?

You have to have them all in a group, then make a short code, or a button that is group page, and that extension number of the group.

I have an Avaya Partner 18D phone here at work, I had reset the phones accidentally. Now everything works fine, besides the page button. I am unable to press "intercom" then "page all" to say anything to...

When you reprogrammed, did you do #505, group 7 to tell the phone system what ports the voicemail was? The voicemail is picking up because the ports are set to ring (which gets turned off, when you tell the system those are voicemail extensions by using #505)

If there were phones that were paged before, my guess is that they were in a calling group, then there were buttons set to page the calling group. (Intercom *72, 73, 74, etc) Intercom *70, pages overhead as well as the phones in group 1 (71)

I need to know how to page another extension. Our Avaya phones do not have the intercom button. I thought there should be a function code to program a button for Intercom, but I'm not finding it. I need to...

There are 2 buttons right below Line 1 and Line 2. Those are both intercoms.

When paging a phone, you just insert a * (star) before the extension number.

SO, Intercom*11, will page extension 11

To program on a button, feature 00, press the button you want to program, then press the left intercom and *xx (where xx is the extension number)

As far as paging all the phones, you will need to have them in a calling group (1-4), hten you can page the group to page them all.

We can hear paging through some of our Avaya phones but not though others. Can anyone advise why and how to resolve?

sounds like some of the phones are not in the paging group.
Changing the programming on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11. At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
next press the left hand intercom twice
the display should say system programming2.gif
enter in "#502"
the display should say Calling Group Group:
press 1 the display will then ask for an extension.
enter in one of the extensions that isn't in the page group
the display will say 2 unassigned
press 1 to change to assigned
repeat the instructions for enter #502 for the next set/s
feature "00" to logout

Using intercom on Lucent partner phones

A Partner is a pretty simple system and the phones are probably all in a single calling group. Your extensions are numbered from 10 to whatever, so at the least you can grab a phone, press the intercom button and dial 0 or 10. It will ring the main phone.

From there, you can start dialing 11,12,13 etc and build your directory. IIRC pressing * in front of the number turns it into a handsfree call. Now, here's where you get to see what kind of installation you have :-) Press intercom and dial *71. With luck, every idle phone will have paging. (71 will ring every phone btw).
This does require programming and an extension can be either in or out of a group.

I do have a basic Partner ACS manual on my website.

The display phone users manual in in the document. Page 179 starts chapter 6, a 30 page guide to the phones.

Are you referring to page all phones?

you have to put all phones into a ringing group first.

From extension 10 or 11

Feature 00
Left intercom
Left intercom
Press #502
At the group prompt, enter the group number you wish to use (1-4)
At the extension prompt, enter the extension number you wish to add to the group
It will say 1-assigned or 2-not assigned
Press 1 to assign it to the group
Repeat for all extensions
Feature 00 when finished

Now, to page the group, you will press "Intercom *7x (where x is the group number)

Example, Intercom *71 to page group 1

If you wish to put that on a button, you must go to each phone.

At each phone...
Press Feature 00
Press the button you want to program
Press the LEFT intercom button and *71 (for group 1)
Feature 00
Repeat at each phone you want the button on.
