Question about Samsung LN-S4092D 40 in. LCD HDTV

My samsung lcd tv is giving me a weak or no signal message. it worked fine earlier

    My Mom has Samsung TX-S3082WH flat screen tv. It has worked just fine for months and now started with a black screen that says Weak or no signal. I tried to go to the menu and have it search the channels but that option is not available to me. Any ideas?

    A "weak or no signal" message is diplayed on the screen. I currently have the aerial point connect direct from the wall to the back of the TV and foxtel box connected to the tv using the vidoe & av red white and yellow cables and it is coming up with this message.

I'm having the same problem. My tv has been working completely fine and now it just popped up a gray fuzzy screen and says Weak or No Signal. What do I do to get it to work?

With the TV remote you must select which signal input that you want to watch. You can have a TV cable, an HDMI plug, AV, and component, all connected at once and watch the one that you want to. After you select which ONE that you wish to see displayed on the screen, you will have to use the remote for that device

I bought a new Samsung LED 40" Series 5 TV. However, after connecting to the tv cable line, i get message " weak or no signal" and not able to get any tv signals. What could be the problem?


You usually hear "weak or no signal" when the tv's input is set to air. Check to see if changing the input might help. Or if you are using an antenna to get your tv, then maybe your antenna is not powerful enough. The new digital signal is weaker than the analog, so antennas that once worked might not work as well now. Hope this helps!

Yes weak signal. Also closing the laptop lid puts the computer in sleep mode.

Weak or no signal message


  1. Since my problem (Samsung/Comcast) began with a channel selection button pushed on the TV remote when it should have been pushed on the cable remote, I figured the problem lay with the TV.  Although I was getting the "weak or no signal" msg., the actual signal strength bar graphic showed it to be strong. Disconnecting did no good. I surmised that the TV was simply not recognizing the box.
  2. I looked at the manual for my Samsung 750 model. 
  3. Page 20 discussed "Selecting the source". I accessed the TV menu and selected "Input", then chose the "HD..." item from the highlighted list. Voila! My tv works again.
