Battery drains

Well yeah, I know it's April 1st today - but this is no joke !

I too have the same problems with charging my trusty Handspring Visor Edge.

I have had the Visor for 5 years now! and it finally came to the point that the battery woz on it's way out. So... after searching high and low for a new Lithium-ion batt. with no luck - I finally decided to opt for the easier, quick fix option and try an Ipod replacement battery Lithium-Polymer 3.6V, 550mAh.

After some delicate operations to remove the old batt, and solder to the contacts for the new batt. I charged it on the cradle, and it looked like all was well - until.. the new batt now has the exact same problems as my old batt?

I now suspect the cradle charger itself may be the problem? However...
it is strange that the Visor shows it is fully charged, and stops blinking, batt level is 97% charged - but still drains to nothing in less than 24 hours, on or off?

If anyone else has any ideas regarding this, please post here?
