Re: Long delay/ the buttons do not work
The games you installed (or at least one of them is still in memory. Clear the memory and archive the games you do not play, it will free memory.
Press [2nd][MEM] [2:Mem Mgmt/Del] [7:PGRM]. A list of programs is displayed. To archive a program highlight it and press [ENTER]. An asterisk appears to the left of the program name. To exit press [2nd][QUIT] or just [CLEAR] and you will return to Home screen.
Hope it helps.

Hello, You did not ask a direct question, so I am not at all sure about what you want.
1. If you want to start drawing y= f(x) graphs, reset the ram of the calculator to get rid of all old configuration settings. Press the [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset] [ENTER] key sequence. Press [CLEAR] to erase message and start graphing your functions. 2. However if you want someone to explain the nature of the symbol which looks like a play button, I, for one, am not a fan of playing the guessing game. Sorry.
Hello, Programs in general can be typed in the calculator [PGRM] --> [EXEC] [EDIT] [NEW] [EXEC] : to execute a program already in the calculator [EDIT] :to modify an existing program (open a program you select and allows you to modify it) [NEW] : opens a fresh page where you can enter the name you give your program, then enter the instructions you want it to execute when it runs.
You can also transfer games that are on another calculator via a calc-to-calc cable, or use the TIconnect software to transfer TI83 games from your computer to the calculator. If you need instructions on how to transfer files post a request here and someone will be happy to show you how.
When i try to play halo3 with my friends i get the same problem. I cant connect to them and sometimes i also cant hear some people talk. Some problems might be that your NAT is set to STRICT or MODERATE you will want it to be open to play with your friends. I dont really have an answer but you will need to get in your apartments router to change the settings to get the NAT to become open. If you type in on the google search bar: Cant connect to friends on xbox live there will be some answers for this problem.
As you probably found out it's not the best idea to pull out the cable mid transfer. Well much like a computer, calculators have RAM and Hard Drive so that program is half on the calculator. The calculator is programmed to fit those files into the smallest space possible so when ever there is a huge transfer of data on a calculator, it defragments all your data. So you need to try to get rid of those half files. I'm assuming they're mirage files that run around 16000. So they're rather large files. What you need to try to do is to try to clear your calculator, 2nd then + then 7 then 1 then 2. But before you do that when it's defragging hit on to try to break the cycle of defragging. If you can break it go to 2nd + and go to memory manager and try to delete the programs by unarchiving them by hitting enter. (some might not need this) then hitting the DEL button. Remember to only do this to the programs you need to. GOOD LUCK. HOPE THIS helps. If it doesn't you are kinda out of luck.
There could be a few solutions.
First check if your OS is the same as your friend's. You can check this by [2nd][+] About. It is in the second row. If they aren't, don't worry.
Second, you could have a corrupt copy caused by transfer. Delete your file and have your friend send a new copy.
Third, delete the file and use a different link cable.
If none of those work, delete the file and download it directly from the computer.
I had three-hundred games on my calculator at one point so I have dealt with this many times.
