Question about Frigidaire FWS833A Top Load Washer

Frigidaire washer Hi It does spin, but the water is not going out, my husband check the hose, and it is ok there. Thank you and have a great holiday Linda

The water did not drain from the wash cycle; rinse cycle works; the spin will work (even though the tub is still full of water). I cannot get it to drain. Is this something easily fixable? Is a repair person required? The washer is 8 years old...

Hi Linda,
If the hose is OK, the the pump is either clogged or has gone out. If you the the front panel off, the pump is to the front on the left, you will see 2 hoses on from the tub to the pump and one from the pump and to the back of the washer.

Frigidaire model fleb8200fs2 won't go into spin cycle and spin water out

Hello friend, thank you for your submission!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer will not go into spin. This could be an issue within the drain hose. You may need to assure that there is not a restriction in the hose and that it is not too far down the standpipe. There could also be a potential possible issue with your timer or drain pump. Best of luck! -Matt

When the timer reaches the spin cycle the water does not drain or spin. All other functions are working.

Hello Joe, thank you for your inquiry!

From what you have described your Frigidaire washer will not drain or spin. I would recommend checking on the drain hose to make sure it is not restricted or too long. Also check to make sure your drain hose is not too far down your drain pipe. If the drain hose is in good condition it might be a possible problem with your timer or drain pump. Since it could any one of those underlying issues I would recommend having a professional technician out. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Frigidaire washer will not wash or spin

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer will not wash or spin. Typically if your washer is not spinning it could be a potential issue with your drain hose. I would check to assure that there are no kinks in your drain line or that the drain hose is not too long. Those could be some possibilities.
If the drain line is clear you could be experiencing an issue with your timer or drain pump. I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional to come out and properly diagnosis your washer. I hope this helps. -Matt

Won't spin off all the water and the belt is not broken

HI,
Check back of washe with a flashlight for a bent or clogged drain hose. Do not move washer to check it. When you move it , it will straighten out and you will never know if it was bent
Also while it is pumping , pick up end of drain hose at drain and observe the volume of water being pumped.
If no water then the Pump may need replaced
Thank you for using fixya

Frigidaire gltf2940 will not pump water into the machine.

hi there your machine it will not spin because there is no water in the unit so that is telling you that the float switch is working but the problem appears to be in the water fill solinoid valve that is located inside the back of the unit if you can contact your local apliance dealer you should be able to get the part that u need ok and also you may want to see if there is still a warranty on the unit that would help a lot
best regards mike

Frigidaire front load washer won't drain or spin

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.
