Is this every torrent movie you try and watch ?

The site you are getting them from might just be full of junk. There is no reason you should get music/sound but no voice.

Try downloading VLC Media Player.

Note: Downloading movies threw torrent sites is Illegal.

Is it possible to reduce the background music when watching a dvd? The music overpowers the voices.

No. The reason they give Academy Awards to SoundMixing, is because some do it great, and some do it bad. Once the dvd is printed, there is nothing you can do about the mix of the sound between background and voices. it's just a bad mix. oh well, the same thing happened to me about a week ago, but as the movie went on, the sound mix either got better, or my ears started to tune into the voices better.

The background music of the dvd movie is playing but there is no sound of the people in the movie speaking. Is the set up setting wrong?

Hello

Yes, fortunately this is only a minor setting which needs to be set right. Although i have never worked on this unit before, all you need to do is to have a look on the remote itself.

The problem is that the player is set to play through the wrong channels. Hence, you can hear the background music and sound, but not the voices. This is because the voice is sent to a channel which does not exist.

On the remote there is usually a button saying channel or sound channel...Something in this line. This will enable you to cycle through the sound channels(2.0 ; 5.1 ; 7.1 etc)

If you cannot find this button on the remote, you will need to have a look around in the sound setting menu.

Hope this can be of help.

Kind regards
Andrea

Jensen VM9510 No voices in movies

It sounds as though the unit is set up for "6-channel" surround mode, but you don't have a center speaker. That means the audio sent to that speaker isn't being heard. You'll need to get to the audio setup menu, and either turn off the 6-channel mode, or turn off the center channel option. There are two different Jensen models with the VM9510 model number, but you can download an owner's manual for either one here: http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/GenProductListCmd?type=model&catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&categoryId=VM9510&langId=-1&page=&urlString=&productId=&brand=
