Hi,

This is due to the BAD FORMATTER..

Disconnect printer from pc. power off. Verify formatter board is installed correctly (specifically connection to dc controller).
If printer has firmware chip (may be built into the board) or memory make sure it is seated properly. power on.

If that doesnt work, then
Try flashing firmware with latest version, download latest driver (maybe current version corrupted).
Cold reset & then NVRAM..if Cold reset doesnt fix problem (print config page, menu map, and network page before doing this)

If anything doesnt work, last resort is, replacing the formatter (these have embedded net card in formatter and maybe its bad)

Please leave me comments, if you need furthur assistance

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. This issue can occur due to paper jams inside the printer. Please check for any paper jam in these locations--

  • In the automatic document feeder (ADF)
  • In input areas
  • In the output area
  • Inside the product
Please check this link for details--

hp laserjet m1522 paper jam

Find and remove the jam by using the instructions on the following pages. If the location of the jam is not obvious, first look inside the product. If this doesn't help try power cycling the printer and then unplug it for 30-40 minutes.

Please tell me if there are any error messages, blinking lights on the PC or printer.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

How do I calibrate the touch screen on a Konica 7165?

To adjust the touchscreen sensitivity, perform the following:
1. Power the copier OFF.
2. Access the Key Operator Mode (Power the copier ON, while pressing the [HELP] key).
3. Touch [10. Control panel adjustment] on the touchscreen to display the control panel adjustment screen. Note: If the touchscreen is so far out of adjustment that there is no response when touching [10. Control panel adjustment], the control panel adjustment can be accessed (at this point) by touching any numeric key on the 10-key pad.
4. Touch the + at the upper right corner of the touchscreen lightly with a touch pen (something with a round tip which is made of resin is recommended as a touch pen). Check the coordinates displayed in the top line at the top of the touchscreen.
5. Ensure the X coordinate and the Y coordinate displayed in the message area fall within the standard values. The acceptable values are on the second line.
6. If the values are not within the acceptable parameters, repeat Step 4 until the values are acceptable.
7. Touch the + at the lower left corner of the touchscreen lightly with a touch pen (something with a round tip which is made of resin is recommended as a touch pen). Repeat the process used for the upper right coordinate until acceptable values are achieved.
8. As verification of a correct adjustment, touch the [CHECK] icon at the upper left and lower right corners. You should hear a beep tone for each one. If a beep tone is not heard, repeat the adjustment.
9. Power the copier OFF/ON to exit the Key Operator Mode.

Code error 2257

This error code may be create for a bin/tray raising or lowering failure in the finisher. This can be caused by either the trays not being fully inserted into the finisher or something stropped the bins from raising or lowering. Check the trays and make sure they are as close to the finisher/fully installed as possible. Then turn off then back on the main power switch (NOT the stand by one on the control panel).

The touch screen has stop responding. All the other buttons on the control panel work and change the display on the panel accordingly, but you cannot select any options from the touch screen. Any...

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. The control panel adjustment is incorrect. This adjustment will shift the position of the touch sensor of the LCD unit. Perform the following steps:
a. Hold the Help key and turn power ON.
b. Touch selection #10 (control panel adjustment) on the touchscreen to display the control panel adjustment screen. Note: If the touchscreen is so far out of adjustment that there is no response when touching #10, the control panel adjustment can be accessed (at this point) by touching any numeric key on the 10-key pad.
Two + (plus signs) should be visible on the screen.
c. Touch the + at the upper right lightly with a touch pen (something with a round tip which is made of resin is recommended as a touchpen). Check the coordinates displayed in the top line at the top of the screen.
d. Ensure the X coordinate and the Y coordinate displayed in the message area fall within the standard values. The acceptable values are on the second line.
e. If the values are not within the acceptable parameters, repeat Step 3 until the values are acceptable.
f. Touch the + at the lower left lightly with a touch pen (something with a round tip which is made of resin is recommended as a touch pen). Repeat the process used for the upper right coordinate until acceptable values are achieved.
g. As verification of a correct adjustment, touch the CHECK keys at the upper left and lower right corners. You should hear a beep tone for each one. If a beep tone is not heard, repeat the adjustment.
h. Turn the machine OFF to store the adjustment. Turn the machine ON normally and check operation of the touch screen.

look into your lower right panel on your computer..there may be a print queue monitor there..open it up, and see if there's something waiting to print there..select it and do a cancel print..that should do it.

Epson Stylus CX4600

If all of the lights on the control panel are flashing and you see the letter E in the Copy window, the print head may not be able to move back and forth freely. Follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the Stylus CX.

  2. Open the scanner.

  3. Remove any jammed paper or other obstructions from the paper path.

  4. Carefully lower the scanner.

  5. Turn the Stylus CX back on.
alert_note.gif Note: If you can't remove the paper or foreign object yourself, do not use force and do not disassemble the Stylus CX.

And the last thing you could do, is to check if the rod where your carriage slide is dry...if so put a little bit of oil on it
