Question about Honda Karcher G4000RH Pressure Washer

1 Answer

Hesistation on pressure when trigger is pulled get n worse

When you pull the triger it takes about 100 seconds for the pressure to kick in. Water does come out the wond but no pressure for a minute. Just started doing this seems like it is takeing longer and longer for the pressure to kick on. It is cold here maybe something froze and did something. Probem presists through out the day. we are running it about 6 hours per day 5 days per week. Thank you. eminca2003@yahoo.com

Unloader valve is the most likely suspect here.
Remove and clean with penetrating oil then reinstall.

Also add some LIGHT oil into your supply hose via a small funnel. 3-in-1 household oil or power steering fluid lubricate the valve and pump quite well. Three or four treatments of a couple ounces each will usually make the pump happy again. If this unit has an OIL-FILLED pump on it you can expect good results. If it runs an OIL-LESS pump it is only rated for about 100 total hours of life!
Hope this helps.

When trigger is pulled pressure goes up and down as long as trigger is held

When you start the pressure washer, having the water from the faucet at full pressure, apply pressure to the triger gently....this should allow the system to release the pressure gradually and keep up.....when you pull the trigger full throttle, it can cause the jurking sensation in system. If this does not resolve the problem you may have a bad empeller pump and requires replacement. Do not allow the pressure washer to run for more than a couple of minutes without water flowing thru is as this will burn up the motor )empeller pump). Good luck

Cant start the unit ,there is to much pressure on the pull chord when water is hooked up.

Trying to start a pressure washer with water supply on and gun trigger off will be a difficult task. It could be comparred to trying to start a lawn mower with the mower in tall grass. Place the mower on the drive or walkway and pulling the rope to start the engine is much easier. It is easy to start your pressure washer with no water in the system however there is a remote possibility that you could overheat the seals if you take too long to turn on the water. It is a little more difficult to start the washer with water supply on and someone holding the trigger to wand open. This will prevents pressure from building and making engine hard to start. You will not damage your washer if you start it with water supply off if you flood the pump and pressure hose with water first . Here is the procedure I use if i am working alone. I trun on the water to pump and open trigger to gun to allow water to flow into pump and pressure hose. Turn off water (leaving the water supply on will make it a little harder to pull starter). Start engine while holding trigger to gun open. When engine starts release gun causing unloader to activate circulating water in pump. Now turn on water and you are ready to work. If your system is under warranty however, I would advise to use the starting procedure outlined by mfg (hold open trigger to gun however). To get the longest life from unit try using it at say 75% of capacity or lower if your can and use max pressure on the tuffest jobs. Leaving your washer at full pressure for all jobs is like driving your car at 100 mph everywhere your go. Good luck.

What are the functions for the three screws in the trigger guard of the Beeman RS2 Sportsman?

The larger screw controls the pull weight, that is how many pounds weight on the trigger.

The front smaller screw controls the length of the first stage, whether you want a short first stage or a longer one.

The rear small screw controls the lenght of the second stage which can be reduced to zero.

I have a karcher 2400 psi pressure washer and it doesnt get water pressurized when pulling wand trigger.

the most comon problem with thease is a stuck bypass valve, this is the valve that alowes the water to bypass round the pump when the triger is closed, when they stick all of your pressure runs around the pump and not out of your nozzle,,
its located in the centre of the pump on the top, undo the 2 cap screws pull out valve greese and re fit

My karcher pressure washer has lost its water power

I have the same problem. With mine I have to remove the tip that I am using then pull the trigger and then replace the tip and pull and pressure should return. I believe that one of my valves is sticking causing me to reprime the pump frequently. I am trying to clean or replace my valves to fix the problem.

I hope this helps.
