I rreplaced the cartridge ribbon in my typewriter and now it's locked. The lock light is flashing and there are no functions. Any help appreciated. Fred

Be sure the ribbon is properly installed, then try putting the old ribbon back in, if it works the ribbon may not have the piece on the bottom that tells the T/W that the ribbon is in.
