Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances are that your batteries need to be replaced because they're just too worn to properly power the camera. And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

If you're after a reset button there might be a little hole you can insert a pin into to reset it, look around the camera.

You should also try holding down the power button for a few seconds, it might have a function where doing that does a restart or something similar. Taking the memory card out and turning it on without it is also worth trying.

Cannot find out how to turn the thing off;it says hold power button down for 5 sec;have done that, still flashes red.

Your button may be sticking or defective. However, an effective way to make almost any Bluetooth headset turn off is to plug it into the charger. Most Bluetooth headsets will disconnect from a phone when plugged in, and when you unplug it most headsets will turn themselves off.

There is probably moisture in the lens assembly. This can prevent the mechanical gears, Iris and lens retractor from functioning. Store the camera in a dry environment for at least 24 hours and try again.

Canon SD800 will not turn on.

If youve had it under a year you can try sending it back for warranty and see if they can fix it. However their warranty service sucks if its not actually something wrong with the camera. Maybe try and find a local store that fixes cameras and see if they can clean it out?

Lens got stuck

It sounds like the lens is now out of adjustment and in order for this to be resolved, you will need to take it to a camera repair shop. I have heard good reports about a company called Ritz Camera. Not much else you can do with it unfortunately.

Gmini XS 202s wont turn on properly....

I heard of that problem, it could be your charger circuit and it could be your battery. There's a interesting forum post on this at www.newmp3technology.com: http://www.newmp3technology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=700

But here's something else: I'll buy your xs202s if you want.. :)
For a reasonable defect-price.
I have one but the display is broken.

Had no luck trying to find that obscure 2" 128x128 backlit greyscale korean display in the IC-market here in Europe.

Camera wont turn on!!! i hear gears turning

Fuji Technical Support team website is the place to ask for further advice. But if the camera is more than a ear old - replacement is the only remedy.

Camera wont turn on...gives beep sounds and green light glows when pressing power button

Does the lens extend in either of these cases? If there has been some malfunction in the lens and it fails to extend the situation can cause the camera to power-off in order to protect itself. Some cameras show error messages before powering off, others do not. Hold the camera up to your ear and turn the power on. Is there a series of mechanical sounds before the beeps? Hearing sounds but not seeing the lens extend indicates some sort of failure in the lens assembly. If you hear nothing then the problem most likely lies elsewhere, possibly a failed electronic component or something as simple as a loose connection. Check with your manufacturer for any recalls or technical bulletins, and see if they will service your camera under warranty. If not there are a number of repair facilitys available on the internet who generally have better rates than out-of-warranty service at the factory. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
