Question about LG L1920P 19" LCD Monitor
LG228WA, owned for a little over 2 years now, all of a sudden when powered up returns a bright pink accompanied by a green streak vertically placed down the left side of my screen whenever a source (RGB/DVI/AV/RF) is detected. How can i fix this and what is its cause?
Assassin_noi, Very good description of WHAT you SEE. Did you buy unit 'new' ? How many "ON" hours does unit have? To fix this you should first check with Lucky Goldstar LGI and see if they have a prorated exchange program for PREMATURE monitor failures. It should at least worked 3-4yrs. Well your symptom could mean almost anything, but i suspect that it will end up being a internal switch-mode-power-supply failure and/or INVERTER supply failure. A trained Technician will need to evaluate your unit and determine if it is viable for REFURBISHING the unit with new CCFT lamps and /or rebuilt SMPS/Inverter supply. Get back to me if this info not enough. Im louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @aol.com Bye for now.
