Need to know from top left to bottom right what each wire goes to on power plug on jensen car stereo model vm9311

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the question. When wiring an aftermarket car stereo I always recommend purchasing a wiring harness that will connect into the vehicles existing harness, Then you only have to worry about connecting each wire to it's color coded counterpart. With that being said, if you do not have the stock harness I can explain the wiring colors to the best of my memory
Red = 12v Memory power
Yellow = 12v Constant power
Black = Ground
Blue/white = Power Amplifier
Blue = Power antenna
Grey = RF speaker (+)
Grey/Black = RF speaker (-)
White = LF speaker (+)
White/Black = LF speaker (-)
Purple = RR speaker (+)
Purple/Black RR speaker (-)
Green = LR speaker (+)
Green/Black = LR speaker (-)
Sometimes there is a dimmer wire also, usually orange or pink I believe
I hope this helps, & Thanks again!

According to most posts the pink wire directly connected to ECM would be the TACH relay to AutoMeter Tach Gauge. 2001 FLHR can anyone reassure me on this one? Thanks inadvance

http://www.officialharleyparts.com/harley/2001_all_flhr_i_ci_dom__and_int__models__ignition_circuit_sheet_1_of_2.jpg

Kind of hard to see in the above wiring diagram, but the OPTIONAL tach is a PINK wire that goes to an 8 pin connector.
Pin #3 is where it connects.

From there is goes to the ignition harness, if a carb model.
-OR- to the ECM harness if a FI model.

What is the pink wire for in the stereo of a 2006 Hyundai Santa fe? and what do I connect the dimmer wirefrom the santa fe to in a new stereo

The pink wire from the stereo unit is often the dimmer wire, and is connected to a power feed from the vehicle's side lights. Not all stereos have a dimmer function however, and may not have this wire available.

Do the jvs have a memory wire. I tryin to put this in a 2001 nissan altima. I need to know if the car have a memory wire for this redio.

You need to hook up the yellow wire from JVC to the yellow/green wire in car(12+ constant memory) and the red wire from JVC to purple from car(switched 12+ volt accessory)

Hope this gets you tuned in!

If you have the VM9410 then there is a way to play dvd's even when you are driving. You must ground out the pink wire in the harness. This allows you to watch dvd's even when driving. good luck!
