I assume that you mean that your mac is booting into console? White letters on black background with a prompt? It indicates a serious problem with your system. It would be very difficult to troubleshoot this via internet. I suggest reinstalling your system or ask a tech-savvy person to do it. It can be done without losing your data.

Macs don't run on DOS, the only way to use DOS or Windows on a Mac is through an emulator. You may want to have a tech look at your computer.

How do i turn off DOS mode??? on a mac...

The Mac does not have a DOS mode to turn off.

It does have a command line mode called 'Single User Mode' where UNIX commands can be executed. Get into SUM by holding Command S at startup.

To go back to the Mac OS X interface, type 'reboot' and press the Return key.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy New Year!

Thanks, Joe

How do you turn off DOS mode on a 13" MacBook Pro?

Is this a trick question? There is no "DOS mode" on a MacBook Pro.
Do you have WIndows installed as part of Boot Camp, and your machine is booting into Windows? To boot back into the Mac, either use the Boot Camp control panel in Windows, or hold down the Option key after you hear the startup chime and select the OS X partition to boot from.
