Sounds like a problem in the speakers' internal power supply, maybe a faulty capacitor. Speakers need to be looked at by a technician, or replaced with a new set.

The humming sound from the speakers. how do u get rid of it?

i have the same probles woth my atp3 , connected to an airport express , and even to teh laptop itself. seems like it comes from static electricity around or within the speakers. try to change the location but i doubt if it will help alot.
if its the same sound i`m hearing then its really quite hum that is practicly unheardable while you play music , and if it bothers you while the speakers are not in use , just turn them off.
hope this helps

Speaker a and b have humming noise

If it's a loud 60 cycle hum stop running it and have it serviced. This hum can be a shorted output which can send out 50 to 60 volts out to your speakers damaging them.

Humminf sound from subwoofer

Most humming sounds in speakers is due to electrical currents or wifi signals nearby the speakers.

Do you have any electrical cables near the speakers? Do you have any wifi device near the speakers?

If so move them out/away and see if there is any difference.

Constant hum when the computers are connected

Hums come from several sources. A light dimmer switch on the wall. Speakers too close to a monitor or other electrical device. Try turning off everything in the room or nearby rooms, one at a time while the hum is audible.

Humming noise

Usually Humming noises come from frequency interferance.  In this case it is being caused by your input sources.  A smiply solution is to replace the cables and or seperate the source cables away from any electircal cords or sources.

Audio won't play on DVD - but it will play for CDs

Hello, you can verify that your receiver is working or not. When you are playing a dvd unplug the audio RCA plugs (red and white) from the back of the Sony dvd player. Touch the tips of each of the RCA plugs with your fingertip. You will hear a buzz sound coming from the speaker associated with the plug if the receiver is working\ i.e. touch the red RCA plug tip and the right speaker will hum...touch the white tip and the left speaker will hum or buzz. This will not hurt your system or speaker. If you do not hear the hum turn the volume to 3 or so and wet your fingertip and tap the tip of the RCA connectors. You will hear "pops" coming from the respected channel. I believe your cd\dvd is at fault. Good Luck!
