Question about NRS Paslode T250-f16,s200-s16 Nailer & Stapler O`ring Parts

1 Answer

T250S-F16 16 Gauge Straight Finish Air Nailer i have an air leak out of the front of the gun where the driver comes out and makes contact with the nail head (the hole tri-shapped hole) It only leaks after the gun has fired and i continue to hold the trigger all the way down. I replaced all gaskets and o-rings including the piston driver o-ring which i thought would solve my problem, but it is still leaking. any suggestions?

Air leaks from the bottom of nailers are due to leaking oring /s that seal cylinder to body of gun and/or leaking thru seal at top of cylinder where headvalve seats. Remove head and examine sealing surfaces of headvalve and top of cylinder. Must be smooth, then pull out cylinder and check oring/s that contact body of gun. Remove any fine scratches on inner body with fine paper (400 grit). Lube with silicone paste. Good Luck!

Take a look at the internals and see if there is an air leak or muffler problem:

Gun leaks

No it is not. It should not leak at all. Where is it leaking air from? The 3 obvious places are the exhaust at the top of the head, the nose where the driver comes down, and the trigger valve.

Air leak out of driver unit

In most nail guns the piston o-ring is the problem. Inspect the o-ring for any signs of damage and in some cases the o-ring has a manufacturer defect.

How do I load the 2 1/2 inches nails to my 16 ga porter cable finish nailer? How do I put the oil and what part of the gun?

Hello,

You need to open the nail magazine and you just load one strip of nails at a time, then close the magazine. It will have a spring putting pressure on the nails, so it will have resistance on it and it will increase as you close it.

The oil gets dripped in the air hose connection on the gun before you connect the air. Make sure that this gun actually takes oil, some newer guns are oilless.

Hope this helps,Matt

Stanley finsish nailer and air is leaking through the trigger as.

If the air is coming out the trigger it must be replaced. Depending on the model of gun you will have to replace the trigger assembly or various o-Rings. Find a Bostitch dealer in your area and they will supply the parts you require.
