Sounds like the drum bearings are going bad, or at the very least need lubrication. thats what your problem is.

Really Bad Squeeky Noise

It could be a squeal from the dryer belt. It could be from a belt that has gotten loose, like you hear on a car sometimes when it first starts up, but usually they don't get loose. They just break. Maybe something has gotten jammed between the dryer drum and the interior of the dryer making it hard for the belt to turn the drum and so it is squealing. Does the drum turn by hand without too much force and without squealing?

When its drying it has a high pitch squeal.

Many driers have a belt drive drum. This might squeal if is slipping. Check the drum turns easily and the belt is adjusted correctly.

My Maytaag dryer has a loud intermittent squeal. It will often work for 10-15 minutes with a quiet squieak or no noise, then the loud squeak starts up. I can turn the dryer off, but the squeal immidately...

I think the drum drive belt is slipping because it occurs more with a large load. Other possibilities are: A drum support wheel bearing could need lubrication or be replaced. Also some drum support wheels have a rubber coating that wears off causing misalignment and noise. Possibly drum gasket (sometimes felt material) where drum meets rear panel is worn allowing metal-to-metal contact--should be replaced. The dryer drum support on the rear of the drum is worn and must be replaced.
It is a ball and cup design. It is worn out.

When I turn my may tag dryer on it squeals. We tried lubricating the mechanics then the drum stops turning. We then degreased it, hand spun the drum and it resumed working.

Squeals will usually come from the rollers that hold the drum or the one that puts tension on the belt. Also, check the front of the drum where it meets the front of the dryer. There may be some teflon pads worn out. The rollers can be lubricated for a short term fix but should be replaced.
