Question about SmartDisk Crossfire Desktop (xf160f) 160 GB Hard Drive
Hi, I have pluged my crossfire in the computer but it still doesn't work. Have to admit that it has been working in the morning. Nothing comes up on the sreen. Is it broken?
Usually this is a problem with the usb port not being able to supply enough power to the drive. The current is often limited at the usb port, and the hard drive may need more than what is being supplied. This is a common problem, and the drive itself is usually fine. If the usb cord has 2 usb plugs on it, plug them both in. If you have an external power jack on the drive, use it.
