Hi, LCD will be replaced as there is no cure for wear and tear on its surface. Required LCD part number is appended below: A1334748A... FTS BLOCK ASSY (35STMG07) Available in Sony Parts Store for $154 If you are handy with electronics stuff repair then can replace it easily, remove side and bottom screws and take apart front and rear cabinet of camera. Unlock connector that holds lcd flexible connection wire, remove solder connection of back light source plate from lcd flexible wire, solder back light connections in new lcd flexible wire and insert it in jack on main board of camera. Local camera repair shop will help you to replace lcd if you feel uncomfortable doing so. Thanks.
Replacing it is not necessary. Simply take it to a good camera dealer and have them clean out all the smoky weed coating and debris. You know, that hazy stuff that gets all over everything and fries your brain too.
