Question about Panasonic SA-HE70K

Open Question

Not accepting USB flash drive any more

Hello, I have panasonic dvd home theater sound system sa-pt 150 and I wanted to ask you what can be the reason that it will not accept my USB flash drive any more?
It just displays:"This type of device cannot be played. Please insert a different device." I have tried with different usb flash drives but it always shows the same message..
Is there some firmware I should setup, or some other upgrade..
I would appreciate it if you could help me to override this problem. Thanks! Dusan

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Believe it or not there is a seller on eBay who offers a one-price fixit solution for your unit for $100.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Panasonic-SA-HT930-SA-HT940-Repair-Service-/360178573162?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53dc50df6a

That aside, these types of systems are designed as a package to be used as a unit. Otherwise they might have standard connectors. Another closely-related Panasonic SA-HT system might work for you but I doubt anyone manufactures anyhting to adapt non-standard speakers to standard electronics.

They actually say on page 9 of the manual:

"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit, and sound quality will
be negatively affected.

I would interpret that to mean 'use these speakers only with similar Panasonic electronics'.

How can I hook my alternate DvD player to SA-HT700 subwoofer without a cable ?

Without a cable? You probably can't unless wireless DVD is out.

If you want to use a wired DVD player, you would have to settle for just audio (analog stereo or optical digital) from it since this unit doesn't accept any video IN.
