You can change just the bulb. You have to unscrew the lens cover off and remove the lens. Take out the bulb to get the correct size. then just replace and reassemble.

GE Monogram ZV950S D2SS range hood - lights on one side stopped working then on both sides. This happened as I was changing bulbs. Everything else works.

Light doesn't work
  1. Light bulb
If your refrigerator light does not power on, the first thing to replace would logically be the light bulb itself.
  1. Light assembly
If your refrigerator light does not power on and you have replaced the bulb, this is an indication that the light assembly may have malfunctioned and will require replacement.
  1. Light switch
If you notice that your refrigerator lights are not working, replace your refrigerator light bulb. If this does not correct the issue, proceed to check the power light switch.
  1. Door switch
If your refrigerator light is not working and it is not the bulb itself or the power light switch, the next thing to check is the door switch. This can be checked for continuity with an ohm meter. If there is no continuity present, the door switch will need to be replaced.
  1. Light socket
If your refrigerator light is not working after replacing the light bulb, check for a possible damaged light socket. If the socket is faulty, replace the part to get your refrigerator light to power on again.
  1. Light board
If the refrigerator light is not working the light board could be defective. The LEDs on this board are not repairable, so the entire board will need to be replaced.

The lights in my 2000 25ft Thor Tahoe slideout are not working how do I troubleshoot

use a meter to check the sockets for voltage either 110acv or, 12v dcv
if dcv it's is your batteries or inverter not supplying power check with a meter set on dc volts; if ac check your circuit breakers with a meter set for ac volts if these are fine then replace switches

My right rear blinker went out so my husband changed the bulb but after doing so the whole light does not work. what could this be?

There seems to be a common problem on a lot of Jeeps with the rear tail light sockets or the wiring right at them. You would need to pull the whole assembly out and apart. See if you can spot a problem with the sockets. It would help to have a voltmeter or test light to keep checking for power at the sockets as you wiggle wires and bulb sockets. If you can't find the problem, consider replacing the whole assembly with new or used.

Where can I find a replacement 120v ac adaptor for a Thor X flashlight?

My Thor X 10 million candlepower spotlight takes a standard 12 volt, 1500 mA, center positive AC adaptor. You should be able to find one with an appropriate tip at any Radio Shack store, but you may find a cheaper universal adaptor at a Walmart or even at a "Dollar Plus" kind of store. An adaptor with a lower mA rating will take longer to charge your light, but it should still work (down to about 750-800 mA, I'm guessing).

Double-check the charging port of your Thor light to see whether there's any information about the input voltage requirements. On mine, the light itself has the charging port labeled for 12v, though I was reading the more detailed specifications off the adaptor itself. I can't recall whether the 2.5 million candlepower light also uses 12 volts of power (I think it does), or whether it takes 6 volts (a single battery vs. two batteries wired in series).

2002 GMC Yukon XL brake light replacement

Hello Weaver124!
Open the tailgate(s) completely and you'll find two phillips-head screws on the inside edge of the tail light assembly. Take out those two screws (keep one hand on the assembly when you remove the last screw) and the whole tail light assembly will come off of the vehicle. On the back side of the tail light assembly, twist and remove the light bulb housing for the blown bulb. The bulbs themselves on some models vary in the manner in which they are removed: (1) If the base on the bottom of the bulb itself is a *round* brass base, press down on the bulb then twist it to remove it, or (2) If the base on the bottom of the bulb itself is *flat* plastic, pull the bulb straight out of the assembly. To replace the bulb, simply reverse the order. Best wishes!

Changing head lights

This is kind of challenging. The headlight bulb is a rear mount, meaning the bulb has to come out of the back. In order to do this you need to remove the headlight assembly from the car ( open the hood and take out the retaining screws holding each assembly in place). Once you have the assembly out it is relatively easy to install new bulbs. The bulbs are Halogen and you should not touch the glass with your hands, since your body oil will cause a hot spot on the bulb and make it burn out. It is best to wipe the bulb with a cotton rag and rubbing alcohol as this will remove all oils on the bulb.

Installed replacement headlights but they are aimed too low. How can I adjust them?

did you replace the bulb or the light assembly ...
if you replaced the bulbs the is a screw or wing on each light if you do this at night it might be easyer
pull up to a garage turn on the lights ad turn the wing or screw till the light goes up or down do both
the lights can be adjusted in or out also/ the same goes for if you changed out the assembly but male sure that the assembly is in the right spots and tight

My problem is with unwanted light spots outside of the picture frame

anything apparently from the bottom of the lens would usually indicate a foreign object in the space behind the lens - possibly a bit of broken bulb or reflector or an insect etc. Also possible is damage to the lens itself on the inside, damage to the bulb or the bulb reflector surface (probably up near the top rear). If you can turn the projector upside down or on it's side then shake it gently and see if the spots move - you may be able to shake the object free. you should be able to pull or turn the focus ring/zoom lens assembly until it comes free (but dont force it - I am not certain how to open but this should be obvious) to clear anything there. here is the dell site http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/acc/2300MP/en/trouble.htm and here is how to check the bulb etc. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/acc/2300MP/en/install.htm#4 Hope this helps :)
